A couple things come to mind. Because Deadpool has already established a crossover with the current X-Men (and now Wolverine) that tells me Deadpool is not part of Phase 6 or Phase 7. Sounds like the MCU has an end date in mind for the current version of Deadpool. If not, they will have to untangle all of that which I don't think they want to do. Also, they have dropped hints about the existence of X-men and now it appears that is years away. That sucks.

Does anyone know how this will affect Secret Wars? It's going to be a big deal if they can't bring the X-Men into the fold on that property.
Good point. Didn't think of that. They are a huge part of that. Good call.

That's an odd and random tweet. Why not go with "26 years ago today, That Thing You Do released in theaters."

Why stop there? "17 years ago, Steven Spielberg had orange juice with his breakfast."

The Internet is funny.

Please note, 26 years ago, That Thing You Do WAS actually released in theaters. Thought clarification was needed.

My kids loved it. Honestly, you know what is weird about this franchise? Neither movie was especially good or anything. However, it's a family tradition to watch the original at Halloween with so many families we know. This movie now became the second part of that tradition.

26 years ago, we had already seen it at a sneak preview a week or two before it was released. Loved it. Got a poster and a promo 45 rpm record by the Wonders. Ah, memories.
