So, the Newcastle owner gave the first ever televised interview as owner of Newcastle United. Not only this, he, as an owner, came out and publicly admitted he has been wrong, the problems lay at his doorstep, and he pledged to spend to fix them. AND he pledged to try to win something, meaning (if he's not lying, of course) that we won't simply mail it in in the domestic cups. I like it. I mean, even if he's BSing a lot of it, he came out on live TV and accepted the blame in a 'the buck stops here' manner. Good on him.
Can you imagine the Bidwills coming out and saying stuff like that during our losing seasons, when the Cards were bottom of the barrel? Admit that their lack of money and ambition was to blame for where the team was? Crazy stuff, crazy stuff.
