I enjoyed it! But I live anything WWII... The more in depth trailer(filming style)for 1917 looks awesome

Yeah I took my dad to see it as he loves everything WWII. We both enjoyed it.

What struck me was how close the US was to losing the war in the Pacific.

Had the Japanese kept pounding us after Pearl Harbor (including attacking our three carriers that were out on maneuvers), we would have lost the war in the Pacific. We lost 18 ships, including 5 battleships.

Love WW2 movies. I have not seen this yet though. The FX in the trailer looked suspect and multiple friends of mine said that it's nowhere near the quality of say Saving Private Ryan and felt more like Pearl Harbor by Michael Bay. I will probably see it at some point.

History Buffs has a 2 part review out on Midway. They made for a nice watch today. If you haven't seen History Buffs on YouTube yet he's great. I love his content. He breaks down the historical accuracy of movies and TV shows.
