Love it due to the one year show me deal. Otherwise would have just been a LIKE!

Reminds me of a bit more durable more successful version of Beanie Wells. I do like his play style tho, should be a good fit.

I like it. I'm not doing cartwheels, but he's a pretty talented guy that can serve as a bridge for Ryan Williams or a rookie - or if he blows it up and is awesome, join us long term.

There's not a lot of risk here, but plenty of reward.

He is kind of a headcase though. I'm hoping he stays pretty quiet, especially if we struggle this year.

1 year, $2.5 million on a show-me contract. Better pass blocker and doesn't play like he's on a slip-n-slide.

I like it.

Correction:

Daniel Jeremiah@MoveTheSticksAccording to sources, Rashard Mendenhall's deal with Arizona is 1 year, $2.5 mil, with potential to earn extra $1 mil.

Like that it's a 1 year deal.

Like that Mendenhall is familiar with Arians.

Like that he is still young.

Like that it fills a huge hole.

Neutral on how effective he will be behind our current OL.

I like it......unless Beanie yes to the Steelers as rumored......then I don't since I trust their scouting more than ours.

I like it. He understands the blocking requirements and BA knows what he is capable of. Gives us security to see if Williams can contribute and buys us time to see what the draft has to offer.

Like the move, but given that it's almost no risk in a 1 year deal, I love it.

I like it, clear upgrade over Beanie. A much better pass protector and receiving threat.

Interesting stat:

Beanie = 1 fumble every 63 carries.
Mendenhall = 1 fumble every 96 carries.

If he's healthy (should be) and with a change of scenery, this could be a steal for the Cards. Until the injuries, he was at least consistent which is more than we can for Beanie

I don't see that RM is a clear upgrade over Beanie as far as running talent. But Mendenhall is the new coaches guy and that makes it a better deal I guess.

However, Rashard is no receiving threat. In 4 seasons with Arians he had a total of 29 receptions. Same time period minus 2008 Beanie had 27.

What??..

Mendenhall had 66 receptions from 2009 to 2011. Beanie has 41 in his career. The only stat close to those numbers are rushing TDs in which Mendenhall has 29 career rushing TDs and Beanie has 24.

All of this, plus he's cheap and has a very high upside.

Looks like I looked at the TDs instead of receptions which are right next to each other on the stat lines.

Is this really the place you want to try and have your "MAKE OR BREAK" year? he'll be on the shelf with Williams by week 8.
