Memphis basketball guard Sincere Parker was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and vandalism after allegedly attacking his girlfriend in May 2025, according to a police affidavit.
Parker, 22, was booked into Shelby County Jail on July 19.
According to the affidavit, the woman reported the incident to police on June 12. She told police it took place at Parker's apartment in downtown Memphis, and that it began when the couple was arguing. She alleged Parker then "pushed her, struck her in the face, then grabbed her neck and applied pressure which impeded her ability to breathe normally."
The affidavit states the woman "sustained bruising and bleeding to her mouth." It also states she met with Memphis Police investigators on July 15, identified Parker in a photograph and told them she was "fearful for her safety."
Parker (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) transferred to the Tigers in April from McNeese State. Prior to that, the Rockford, Illinois, native played for Saint Louis and Moberly Area (Illinois) Community College.
"The University of Memphis is aware of the situation and cannot comment on an active investigation," the school said in a statement provided to The Commercial Appeal.
Parker arrived in Memphis in June for the start of summer workouts. He averaged 12.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game at McNeese State during the 2024-25 season and is one of the top additions on coach Penny Hardaway's roster for the 2025-26 season.
Commercial Appeal reporter Lucas Finton contributed to this report.
