I can't believe that were going to sign JJ and AJ and leave huge holes at CB and TE. Fully expect us to sign a couple of solid vets.

After Pitts the TEs are mediocre at best. Cards need a play immediately CB. Since they apparently were worried about Farley’s medical red flags, there were none still on the board.

So let's go out and sign rb Duke Johnson, cb Steve Nelson and te Jesse James.

Better do something because the only thing this team did to upgrade the offense was Hudson.

Some will say Green but he's not a game changing upgrade over Fitz especially if he only gets 54 receptions.

Rondale will be a major contributor this season. An A+ 2nd round pick.

I hope you/re right. But he'll be going up against the big boys now. Seem to me at best a gimmick player.
49. Cardinals: Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue
Grade: A+

Giddy. Up. If Moore is healthy (big if) he's a clear-cut first-round talent. Andy Isabella hasn't materialized too much with the Cardinals, but Moore is a different animal. Short not small. Insanely explosive with contact balance. Fun piece.

I don't know how one puts injury concerns in their first real sentence and then gives an A+ grade.

That’s fair. Injuries are part of the game. There’s risk of injury with most insanely twitchy freaks. He’s a difference maker. Exactly why he wasn’t a 1st round pick.

Here is a bull**** article by Greg Moore attempting to justify Keim not taking a CB so far. Apparently to Moore in today's NFL you don't need quality CB's, you just need a front 7 who can prevent the opposing QB from throwing passes.....is that all?

He used 3 of arguably the best defensive SB teams of all time ('85 Bears, '00 Ravens & '02 Buccaneers) who success relied heavily on front 7. Article mentions no CB's needed, just a ball hawking FS which all three had (Duerson, Woodson & Lynch). Moore is a fool because even though the CB's on those teams weren't the cornerstones of the defenses, they were still pretty damn impactful.

Leslie Frazier & Mike Richardson combined for 10 INT's in 1985.

Duane Starks & Chris McAllister combined for 10 INT's in 2000.

Brian Kelly & Ronde Barber combined for 10 INT's in 2002.

Today's NFL is much more passing oriented than back in those days and teams need at least 3 capable CB's with offenses going with 3 & 4 WR sets. Even with a pass rush, if you have a QB like Tom Brady who knows how to navigate around that and expose weaknesses then lack of quality CB's will sink a defense.

ARZ needs at least another CB if anything so we don't go into next season with Alford starting if he makes it to regular season on active roster. If Keim can land Nelson then we should be okay but if are hopes for a 5 - 7 round CB to start then we are out of luck.

I'm beginning to wonder if Greg Moore isn't a poster here with that kind of article.

Which there are certainly a plethora of after the pool being picked over in FA...

I mean, you say this like it's just that easy.
