After dropping their Week 3 battle with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Los Angeles Rams hosted the undefeated Indianapolis Colts and handed them a 27-20 at SoFi Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford entered the game with 382 career passing touchdowns and 100 with Los Angeles, and after throwing three touchdowns on Sunday, he's moved past Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner on the team's franchise passing touchdown list. Stafford's 103 touchdowns with the Rams puts him sixth in team history.
The five quarterbacks ahead of him at this point are Jared Goff (107), Norm Van Brocklin (118), Marc Bulger (122), Jim Everett (142) and Roman Gabriel (154). He's currently on pace to surpass Goff, Van Brocklin and Bulger this year, and if he's around for one more year, he could overtake the last two and set the franchise record.
Stafford's also moving up the NFL's record books in passing touchdowns, as he surpassed Matt Ryan (381) for ninth in Week 3. He needs 34 more to pass Ben Roethlisberger for eighth, and while it's not impossible, it would take an incredible effort over the next 13 games to accomplish that this year.
No matter how the Rams' season finishes, it's important to appreciate just how well Stafford has played during his time in Los Angeles.
