Ryan Poles' strong offer for Matthew Judon shows that he doesn't plan to waste Caleb Williams' rookie contract. But while the idea was correct, trading for and extending the 32-year-old Judon probably wasn't the right move for the Bears to make a year before their contention window truly opens.
