Honestly, I thought the first one sucked too. Sure the special effects were cool and all, but at some point a movie needs a plot. I never found one in the the first movie.

I'll pass on Reloaded.

Well, now THAT'S hilarious...no plot in the first one?

I don't believe you could watch that movie and not notice a plot, unless you were 4 years old :)

Nidan - you got a paypal account? I'm serious about refunding your $8 if you're so bitter.

Hence.... Jackie Chan

Sometime I wonder if there is somethin he can't do. Sure it may take him a couple tries before he gets it down but damn some of the things Jackie does is just amazing.

Jackie Chan RULES!

His movies are so much better than either Bruce Lee's or Let Li's.

If I were to rank martal arts film stars...

1. Jackie Chan
2. Chuck Norris (pre "Walker Texas Ranger")
3. Jeff Speckman (why his career hasn't gone better is beyond me, that dude is a legit bad ass in the Norris-mold)
4. Bruce Lee
5. Nidan
6. Jean-Gary Diablo, err, I mean Jean-Claude Van Damme
7. Steven Segal (because if I don't put him on my list he'd kick my ass)
8. Jet Li

EDIT: Honorable Mentions: Chow Yun-Fat (but I'd like to see how he could do with wires) & Don 'The Dragon' Wilson

How would you rate them as Martial Artist.

My list...
1. Bruce Lee
2. Chuck Norris
3. Jackie Chan
4. Billy "Superfoot" Wallace
5. Jeff Speckman
6. Ahhh whats his name.... somethin Gruner
7. Jet Li
8. Steven Segal
9. Phillip Rhee (Best of the Best) gotta take him since he is a Tae Kwon Do man
10. Bolo (Can't remember his real name)

It sucks when you draw to many blanks when you try to make a list..

I forgot Superfoot's name the other day when he was one "Walker Texas Ranger". I was like "Dude, that's Superfoot!"

I think you list is sound from the actual application of martal arts ability side of things.

Should we expand the list to include Ultimate Fighting? :D

But if you want to see more realistic MA as opposed to a heavily coreographed fight/dance, Segal is by far the best, at least in his earlier movies.

None of this, hit, hit, jump kick, hit a few more times then the guys goes down.

To quote my first teacher, if you hit a guy once and he doesn't go down, then you didn't hit him right.

Watch the knife fight at the end of Under Siege. This doesn't look as set up as most. The reason why is that that have fake knives, with Tommy Lee Jones making out like he is really trying to knife Segal. But Segal is fast/good enough to add the theatrics in real time and just go with whatever TLJ does.

That is not counting Bruce Lee of course given that he doesn't make movies any more.

Oh and I wish I were in movies, wel no actually I don't. I just wish I was paid like a movie star.

That is a whole different ballgame there. Wasn't there a guy that went from Ultimate to WWF or WWE?

Bruiser of a dude.. I think he was the person that finally beat Gracie..

I could have it all wrong

You're thinking of Ken Shamrock, "The World's Most Dangerous Man". His brother Frank still holds the UFC record for fastest knockout, something like 31 seconds or so.

BJ Penn one timed Kaol Uno knocking him out in eleven seconds. There were two other UFC knockouts that were even faster but I don't know who the fighers were.

31 seconds is an eternity in the octagon.
