The Arizona Cardinals largely are done with their work on the roster this offseason. One possible move they could make is re-sign guard Will Hernandez once he is recovered and healthy from his torn ACL. So any remaining need or priority the team has will be something interior.

NFL.com's Kevin Patra named the biggest offseason priority for all 32 NFL teams. For the Cardinals, it isn't about the roster, which says a lot about the work they have done to improve it this offseason.

It is the connection between quarterback Kyler Murray and receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

After the Cardinals made major investments to upgrade the defense this offseason, it’s going to be critical for the offense to take another step forward, as well. Arizona didn't add a new running mate for Harrison, counting on the 2024 first-round pick to make a Year 2 leap. For that to happen, the chemistry with Murray must improve. It was woeful last season. At times, it appeared that not only were the QB and WR on different pages, but they were reading from a completely different book. The duo must make massive strides if the Cards are going to become a contender.

It is true.

Harrison was productive but should have had a better rookie year. He often looked very much like a rookie. But that is what is exciting. He had big games. He was just not always on the same page, making read mistakes. There is no questioning his work ethic, and he didn't have a bad season. It just didn't match some other rookie receivers in 2024. It was one of the best rookie receiver seasons the Cardinals have ever had, and he was playing with a 100-catch tight end in Trey McBride.

The Cardinals are counting on Harrison's improvement. He is bigger and has been working all offseason.

Cardinals fans should be excited to see what is in store for him.
