The New York Giants traded up back into the first round in order to secure their signal caller of the future and they seemingly do just that by snagging Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart with the 25th overall pick in a stunner trade with the Houston Texans.
Dart is a quick release, whip arm, big, and athletic playmaker at the quarterback position. While Dart does come from a gimmicky offense, his live arm is legitimate and makes him a potential starter at the next level. The Giants will need to have Dart sit for one or two seasons behind veteran Russell Wilson as he picks up on NFL offenses and refines some kinks in his game before he is ready to go. A controversial player to take as the second quarterback, and one that creates intrigue in the NFC East. Grade: D
