The Detroit Lions running back room delivered once again for any fantasy football managers who may have assumed this would become a one-man show in 2025.

After a dismal performance for the Lions offense in their last meeting with the Baltimore Ravens, Monday night was an opportunity to see what this team's playmakers could do against a tough AFC opponent after drubbing the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Surely there was an opportunity for regression after a 52-point performance that saw Jared Goff throw five touchdowns and Amon-Ra St. Brown as the top-scoring receiver for the week.

However, in a 38-30 game on Monday night, there was no shortage of points to be had for fantasy managers waiting on their Monday night miracle -- or dreading a Monday night meltdown as they watched David Montgomery rumble down the field time after time.

Let's take a look at how the Lions' best fantasy football assets fared in Week 3:

David Montgomery: 29.4 points

David Montgomery started to make an impact on Monday night's game early as a pivotal part of the Lions' 98-yard drive down the field to score and keep Lamar Jackson on the sideline. Despite actually handling less than half of the touches that Jahmyr Gibbs had, Montgomery made the most of his opportunities, showing that he's still very much a part of this offense.

He had 12 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns. A chunk of that came on a 72-yard burst, but his usage the rest of the night showed he can still be as effective as always. He also had a 13-yard catch to top things off and lock in his spot as the RB2 in the NFL for Week 3.

Jahmyr Gibbs: 26.9 points

If you were bold enough to draft and start both Lions running backs in this one, I applaud your commitment.

Jahmyr Gibbs didn't see the same level of success on the ground as his running mate on Monday night, but he more than doubled his amount of touches, getting 22 carries for 67 yards and catching five of six targets for 32 yards. The Lions were willing and able to let their running backs pound the ball into the endzone in goal-line situations, getting Gibbs two touchdowns of his own.

He'll remain the starter officially, but it's clear the Lions are going to continue giving each back their time depending on the game script.

Amon-Ra St. Brown: 20.7 points

He didn't manage a repeat of last week's near-league-leading performance, but Amon-Ra St. Brown saw plenty of looks from Jared Goff throughout the night, including a 20-yard touchdown catch to keep the game under control for the Lions.

St. Brown caught seven of his eight targets for 77 yards and the one score. This performance indicated that even a secondary as talented as the Ravens shouldn't stop fantasy managers from considered him a WR1.

Jared Goff: 12.7 points

Quarterback Jared Goff was a regression candidate for this week, but it didn't turn out to be for lack of a good performance. Goff was fairly accurate throughout the night, finishing 20-for-28 for 202 yards. He even logged four carries for six yards for those counting.

Goff only had the one touchdown pass to St. Brown in this game, but he and the rest of the offense really spent the night relishing in the success of the running game.

Sam LaPorta: 7.3 points

Tight end Sam LaPorta had a great game when it came to winning a football game, but turned in another disappointing fantasy effort overall.

LaPorta caught all four of his targets and was a clear-cut security blanket option for Goff on multiple third-downs, but those catches only amassed 33 yards and left him as the 22nd-best tight end in fantasy this week.

Jameson Williams: 6.3 points

Wide receiver Jameson Williams was coming off of the "boom" game last week. This was the bust.

Williams checked all the usual boxes, catching a couple of long passes, but only saw one other target on the night. He totaled 43 yards but wasn't as much of a factor while the offense churned out yards on the ground.
