The Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart have lost five players to the transfer portal this spring. UGA has added three incoming transfers and has several more targets, which are primarily on the defensive side of the ball.

Georgia has used the transfer portal this spring to strengthen its defensive depth in the front seven. The Dawgs lost all of their top six leading sack producers from last season to either the 2025 NFL draft or the transfer portal.

Georgia's transfer portal losses have mostly been at skill positions. The Bulldogs' most notable transfer departures are wide receiver Nitro Tuggle and running back Branson Robinson.

Georgia lost 15 players to the transfer portal during the winter window. The Bulldogs have brought in six transfers (all incoming UGA transfers were wide receivers or defensive backs). The spring transfer portal window is open from April 16 to April 25, so Georgia players will only be able to enter the portal for a few more days.

Georgia has five outgoing transfers thus far, but only one has announced a transfer destination. Former Georgia wide receivers Michael Jackson (entered the portal in the winter) and Nitro Tuggle are both headed to Purdue.
