NFL Salaries are soaring, and thanks to Brock Purdy, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback could be looking towards a raise in the coming months. Tom Pelissero reports that the San Francisco 49ers have agreed on a new five-year, $265 million contract extension that includes $181 million in total guarantees, including $165.05 million in the first three new years of a deal that runs through 2030.

Purdy was entering the final year of his four-year rookie contract.

With the move now complete, we're examining how that deal will impact the Ravens' star quarterback in the future.

Brock Purdy's deal

In 2025, Purdy is scheduled to make a $5.34 million base salary, a significant jump from his less than $1 million base salary in the previous three seasons. The 49ers have benefited from Purdy being the very last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and thus one of the cheapest draft contracts money can buy.

Lamar Jackson's contract

Jackson signed a five-year, reported $260 million deal during the 2023 offseason, making him the league's highest-paid player. He has a salary-cap hit of $43.5 million in 2025, according to overthecap.com, and his cap hit would jump to $74.5 million the next two years. A guaranteed option was due on March 17, worth $22.5 million. Jackson's 2025 base salary of $20.25 million and a $750,000 roster bonus are guaranteed. If on the roster on the 5th day of the 2025 league year, $29 million of Jackson's 2026 salary will be fully guaranteed. There are $750,000 roster bonuses due on the 5th day of the 2026 and 2027 league year.
