Hayes-Davis needs to get used to the increase in talent and how he can't do what he did in Europe. He is smart and should get used to it but it seems he was trying to shoulder too much of an offensive load early on.
Exactly what I wanted to say too. His shots throughout the preseason have been short or off quite a lot, only explicable that in Europe he used to have more energy, space and time to release his shots. But his smartness on both ends of floor is clearly visible. Just needs playing time to realign his shooting game.

Jordan Ott on how he wants Rasheer Fleming to play.

As I mentioned earlier, Jared Butler is not on a guaranteed deal. The hunger is there.

In the first 2 games he was trying too much, and not quite confident. He's relaxed in this game and found his stroke for 3s as well as the teardrop shots. Keep the confidence but not over-doing it when back to the usual reserves role of less than 15min a game, he is a keeper. Hope Goodwin and also Booker and Green could do more of those drop shots, particularly when Williams and ManMan could set solid picks while being nasty lop threats at the same time.

The Suns defense did their job creating turnovers and buzz saw mentality.

That recap was exactly how we lost games last year. KD scored X, but the Suns had twenty turn overs....

He also put highlights out there for another team if he gets cut.

Well, yes, but I want to keep Butler.
From what I can gather, Suns currently have 14 regular salaries and 3 2ways.
They can keep 15 salaries and 2 2ways, so they could sign him, assuming they don't want to convert any of the 2ways to a regular salary.

Regular:
Book
Green
Brooks
Goodwin
Gillespie
Allen
Dunn
O'Neale
Hayes-Davis
Fleming
Maluach
Williams
Richards
Ighodaro

2Ways:
Brea
Livers
Huntley

What a come back, Brea and Davis seem to needs nba reps to adjust to the nba game.

With Butler and Goodwin, Gillespie's playing time isn't as guaranteed as some thought.

Give me Huntley over Oso.

Yep - and KD was directly or indirectly responsible for half of them - meaning just having to get him touches created turnovers

This is correct. The Suns have 14 fully guaranteed contracts.

Butler's contract is non-guaranteed. If the Suns keep him, it will become fully guaranteed on 1/10/26.

The Suns can keep three players on two-way contracts. They are filled up in this regard.

We have no idea yet how Book and Green look together. However, if Green played in this game instead of Butler, we would be very happy with the performance. We need to keep Butler. Its too bad we cant develop everyone. Hopefully we can parlay a player or two into future picks.

Think I got the game. Channels are super screwy for me.

Was there just an interview with Koby Brea by Amanda Not-Lindsey?
Man are you behind the times.
The "SunsUp" marketing campaign is already annoying. I always disliked the CowboyUp nonsense back in the day and was glad to see it left in the early 2000's. Repurposing it for the Suns shouldn't be a thing.
Thanks for the history lesson. I had no idea where that came from or what it means.

I like the Suns current roster, but I believe they will likely make a trade when the opportunity arises to gain assets or flexibility to use the exceptions.

Yeah I'm not at home. Stuck in a medical facility. It's all good, things are looking up. Haven't had cable or satellite in like 7 years or so. Throw in the weird system this place has and it's a bit of an adventure.

Thanks for the history lesson. I had no idea where that came from or what it means.

There used to be a Country Western bar right around the corner from me when I lived in Cave Creek and they had "Cowboy Up" signs everywhere and almost all trucks in the parking lot had a decal that said it. Seeing the Suns try to breath new life into the phrase that should have been left in the past is a little disheartening.

I have no doubt that either Grayson or Royce will rehab their trade value this season. I'll be disappointed if both are kept.
