This was the worst officiating I've seen over the past few years. Refs won this game for the Lakers. That said, the Suns have got to get rebounds and not allow second and third chances. They also have to be smart- Brooks getting himself tossed for no reason, Booker being overly aggressive for no reason- these are just some thing they cannot do. As bad the officiating was, they still could have won this game

Brooks... I cannot... He givith, the takith away.

Yeah, he got fouled by LeBron, he didn't get the call, how he thinks THAT is a proper way to respond in a 1 point game... just dumb.

Lakers had no timeouts and were crumbling, I know LeBum missed the free throw anyway, but that was a long stop in play that allowed the Lakers to get their crap together.

That said, I have never seen a player act like LeBron did (over literally nothing) earlier in the game and not get tossed.
Lebron made contact with the ref. That IMO is the perfect example of referees giving star treatment.

Great fight to get back, but lost on our own immature acts and refs bias. LBJ fouled Brooks on the 3, and got him tossed for emotional reaction. Booker was not wise with that slap, for the risk of being called a foul that'd bail out LBJ, which became reality knowing the mindset of refs tonight.
That being said, the game lost in the 3rd with LaRavia and Vanderbilt harassing us into lost rebounds and TOs, without timely adjustment. With DA and Hayes, the four of them got 18 off. rebounds together, of 24 total Lakers ORs. It's Booker in the final 5 mins and Brooks and Gillespie with late 3s that brought us back from a 20 pts gap, to be lost as said above.
Booker is not fully healthy yet and needs his court time managed like MW's. Meanwhile our bench mob and whole team can easily get dismantled by tight defense, like Lakers in the 3rd and teams like OKC. Gillespie is better suited for 6th man off bench just as GA. We need Green back, Booker healthy, and more experience for our young guys.

A couple positive notes.

Booker seemed fully recovered, he was darting around and aggressive on defense (a bit too much at the end there), his outside shot was off but he looked really good, for much of the 2nd half he was the only player who could do anything.

Also, last year's team would have lost this game by 30, and said "we chillin". I fully expect this year's team to further sharpen the chip on their shoulder with the way this game played out.

I agree. People here focusing on the Booker foul with 3.9. It really goes back to LeBron pushing and grabbing a ref, and should have been thrown out earlier. Also, LeBron punching Brooks. He should have been out of the game twice. Lebron should not have even been there with 3.9 left in the game. All things called equally.

The late Kobe Bryant may have been the most jaw-droppingly obnoxious player I ever saw; but at least he generally gave the impression of earning his status. The Lukas? Nah. They've gotten where they are strictly because of preferential treatment by the league, because it supposes that Los Angeles teams make it lots of money no matter how boring they are. And these Lakers are boring, especially lebron james. He is a tired relic who needs to retire and go away.

Stupid play by Booker. Easy to get caught on critical shots by "superstars". Refs are always going to call in their favor so do not reach.

Looking forward to see how this team responds when we play these cats again. I am pretty certain it will not resemble what happen last year. That team was way too chill.

By the way how are the Lakers doing in FT vs opponents? Same as always? Probably a lot of the FTs they get are because of aggressive inside play from their front line.

Even with the refs, you guys should have run right over us. Hard to complain much from your side of things when your team went from leading us 77-71 to going a full 8 minutes and 5 seconds without scoring a single point against us to trailing 95-77. A 24-0 run by the Lakers? That's just crazy. Score a couple points there and you still win the game regardless of the officiating.

LA was only in the game because of the ridiculous reffing.

BTW - you should take the advise you have given other posters on here - either root for all Arizona teams, or move

Show me where I've ever said anything like that. I have only ever said pick one team per sport and support them 100%. I do not like divided loyalty but could care less which teams you support. Get over yourself.
