This is what Stout talks about a lot as well. K1 for sure needs another voice in his ear in terms of growth because he’s not getting it from his dad nor the coaching staff today.
I really dont like how this staff was put together the more I look into it

Not even terrible Ron considered this guy for OC or pass game coordinator.
Commanders WRs coach Drew Terrell. He has not interviewed for any of the dozen OC jobs that opened up after the season, including for his own teams. The only internal candidate that Ron Rivera interviewed was QB coach Ken Zampese.
The QB coach had no real NFL experience before being the Cards QB coach. He was a fellowship coach who assisted Drew for a year. What does he really know?

But this goes back to Kyler. You know the situation. His dad talked about improving the consistency, but its clearly not happening with him. And he's got an inexperienced NFL QB coach. He's not doing more to rise above that.

I’m surprised some of you guys think they won’t trade Kyler in the next offseason, tbh. Whether I agree with it or not, I do think Monti will get the choice of his QB, especially since it seems like Bidwill isn’t a fan of Kyler.

What will we get in trade for him?
I think probably a third. The other team is going to say they are taking a big salary on and risk that K1 doesn’t work out as leverage.

Based on what the coaches have been saying though I don’t think they are trading him.

You really need to start reading my posts in more detail. lol

I also hate the composition of the offensive staff, especially as it pertains to QB development and resources.

It seems that there are critics who actually think that Kyler has the same birds-eye perspective they use to assess his play.

This is a weak argument. Quarterbacks shouldn't have to SEE a guy get open.

A QB knows what routes are being run, his job is to look at what the defense are doing pre snap to decide where his reads should be. One some of these videos above they are clearly wrong.

They should then adjust based on what the defense does post snap. None of this is happening.

On the play above that Marv is wide open that should be his first read and as he has the time he should wait and hit him. He should know they are playing zone and then see the linebackers are sitting and from that know that Marv will have a huge window on his route.

The problem isn't the seeing, the problem is the thinking.

That is my thought as well, as far as trade compensation.

Too many times I've seen this franchise ignore the obvious move. I mean, Mike let Keim talk him into that ridiculous extension.

I'm 80% they move on if he continues like this, which I believe he will because I think he's beyond fixing.

There's some serious rewriting of history going down around here. Not specifically you but a lot of talk last year was happy with the coaching, including the no names that were brought in.

We should, and would, have made the playoffs last season if Kyler didn't implode when we hit November as usual. There were a lot of generally positive vibes from people here and the wider NFL. Kyler is sucking again this year and there's not much the staff can do while locked in to the money he's on.

I know there have been other issues, I was unhappy with some of the things Gannon and Petzing did on Sunday, and other weeks too. But it's like when you have a bad injury, like an ACL tear, and when you come back you pull an achilles or the other ACL because your body is still overcompensating for the weakness.

This team is compensating for a serious weakness and it's affecting everything. There may well be other issues, but it's impossible to know. I wouldn't be happy moving on from the senior staff until I've seen them with their own QB.

@Russ Smith called a foot injury earlier in the game.

I don't remember which play it was but he got up limping I posted it in the game thread so it's probably still there but won't show what play it was.

But it was well before the play where the snap hit his face and he didn't dive for the ball until way too late and that's the play where they checked him in the tent after the play.

A Kurt Warner, he is not.

You ain't getting a 3rd for Kyler.

Mayfield and Darnold went for less than that on cheap, short, low risk contracts. Any team trading for Kyler in 2026 is committing to $62m in guaranteed money. That's a lot if he blows for you too.

Realistically any team is locking in 2 years and £79m on a 7 year vet his own team doesn't want, has been injured a lot, who doesn't stand tall in the pocket, and has a lot of flaws in his game.

There is a greater chance teams make the Cards cut him and eat all the guaranteed money, than we get a 3rd, because they are only willing to risk $30m a year on such a risky project.

The more I look at his contract the more I think we might not get anything. Would anyone here honestly risk $79m and a 3rd round draft pick on Kyler if he was on the Jags or Raiders?

Only a third for the greatest QB in cardinal history? I'm shocked, and they don't take on a "big salary" in today's world for a starting QB. In fact it would be very team friendly.

I don't think so. If they trade him the cards will have to pay that 17 million roster bonus due right when the new league year starts. I think the new team would only be on the hook for around 60 mil. But they could cut him without any dead money. And quite possibly they could get a third round pick for him. But you're basically paying for that high of pick paying the roster bonus.

Can any of the cap guru's tell me if this is correct?
