Two guys open beyond the sticks, also has a deep route in single coverage. It's like he looked towards his check down instinct first, saw him basically doubled, and went into a pure panic.

We will all eventually find out. Anyone that's seen my post " This season " knows I've been very critical of Murray’s play so far. But as a Football fan it's hard to believe that people think if a player can't succeed with the Cardinals then they can't succeed anywhere smh.
Who actually said that? There are plenty of examples of that playing out right now.

Mayfield
Darnold
Geno
Maybe even Danny Dimes

It's really sad Kyler didn't get better pass protection on this play.

Maybe he has a right to be jittery in the pocket.

Gotta wonder why Kyler isnt reaching out to Baker in the offseason. He said backing up Baker was the most important thing in his college career. So why isnt he learning more from him. Baker struggled some in the same system so why not pick his brain more about what can work about it?

Also Baker may be the more mentally tough dude, but I think Baker having more college success has helped him the pros some. He's had more years use to winning than Kyler did. For him it was just 1 year or all the way back to HS.

If there is one thing I am absolutely sure of it's that Kyler doesn't think he needs to learn anything.

The wider view makes this play even worse... guys absolutely wiiiiiiiiiiiiide open, well before any hint of pressure.

Man that's horrible, but highly indicative of what Kyler is as a QB.

I posted some of these and completely missed how open Trey was elsewhere on easy throws.

This is really a consequence of Kyler not being able to look at how the defense is lined up and adjust his reads appropriately. He's often arbitrarily choosing who he's going to throw to and forcing it no matter what.

Jesus freaking christ. Look how WIDE open Marv is here.

Kyler doesn't even need to take the hit to throw this, he's just SO SLOW at processing. The ball should be out before Marv breaks inside. He can still get it out later and take the hit put curls up like a wuss. But was there to throw without the hit.

How can you say "Fire Petzing!" when you see plays like this? Petzing can't throw the ball. If Kyler just makes the 70th percentile throws, not the elite throws, just normal average quarterback passes, then Marv has 100+ yards per game. The offense has 300+ passing yards and nobody has an issue with Petzing.

Of the 5 videos in the last 2 posts, if Kyler completes just the 3 simplest ones that's 100+ yards more passing offense.

This is just basic stuff.

JFC, this is pathetic and embodies everything wrong with this scrub. Dancing in the pocket and not throwing to wide open receivers, panicking, spinning for no GD reason, turning it into a needless negative play that absolutely crushes the offense's soul and ruins field position. Oof!

It seems that there are critics who actually think that Kyler has the same birds-eye perspective they use to assess his play.

I would hope that with 4 or 5 seconds in a clean pocket my QB could notice that the 2 receivers who ran routes to the sticks are wide open... and, should he fail to notice that, I would hope instinct is not to run in a couple circles and throw the ball over his back shoulder.

Furthermore, he's always been contact shy, I get it, he's not big, but there is no QB in the league who drops to the ground like he does. He will scamper, but only to the extent that he doesn't get touched. As the season goes on this problem only magnifies, he seems to trust his legs less and less. His lack of interest in designed runs is a huge problem for a QB who's main asset is his quickness.

I'm guessing Murray will definitely get another shot with a different team in the future. If Daniel Jones ( who Giants fans still blame for losing Saquan ) can get another shot, Baker Mayfield ( who's been on a couple of different team ) and lastly Sam Darnold ( who was seeing dead people " I mean ghost " on the field during a game ) can get another shot. I don't think anyone would think Murray won't get another chance.
All 3 of those QBs stand tall in the pocket, are willing to take a hit and look over the defense and make reads

For one, I'm pretty content with the fact that KM is 'contact' shy. I wouldn't if he were a Clydesdale like Josh Allen.

As to your assertion of a problem 'magnifying', 'trusting his legs less', and 'lack of interest in designed runs', we'll need more than your opinion.

Questioning the toughness of any NFL player is hilarious and peak arm chair QB. He threw a dime to MHJ on the very next play

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Toughness, like everything else, is relative.
I'm certain kyler is far tougher than the average Call of Cthulhu playing tax accountant.
But I'm just as certain he rates a candy ass lined up beside a crew of finals competitors at the PBR circuit... bull riders are pretty rugged..
As for nfl players...he is a QB...he has his moments...but their first thought generally leans towards self preservation...even an "average tough" quarterback is candy ass nfl over all

He was thinking more about Jonah Williams possibly being beat than making the throw.

At some point Kyler either needs to make the throw knowing full well he'll be hit. Or just throw with anticipation. He wouldnt get in his own head about getting hit if he just trusts Zay.

Eli would throw fade away passes to avoid contact. So its not always just a size thing. Im just past the point of watching Kyler do that.

I think Cards fans would at least entertain more ints/mistakes if it led to big plays/tds.

This is what Stout talks about a lot as well. K1 for sure needs another voice in his ear in terms of growth because he’s not getting it from his dad nor the coaching staff today.
Dang it, I was going to make another daddy post but now I can't because you posted this rational take :)
