I believe that giving him Kliff as a security blanket coming out of college was the biggest mistake in his development. There are aspects of his game that might always have meant that he would never be elite, but I'd be interested to see if his career would have had a different trajectory without Kliff.
after seeing how the commanders quarterback is performing under Kliffs tutelage too, I can’t necessarily say I agree. I know I know people will say well he was a head coach. You’re not just an OC. Regardless, he was the primary offensive genius and coach to Kyler and called all the plays…..

Did he evolve somehow become some better coach all of a sudden? Who knows? Certainly up for debate….

For sure...I'm not a huge Commanders fan or follower, but I think the feeling so far this year is that they've taken a step back.

I don’t know he had a good game in week one and a mediocre game last week so I’m not sure

Also, apparently he sprained his knee last week, which could’ve affected his overall play, but I’m not sure at one point in the game it happened… He was able to finish but is questionable moving forward

Jayden also might just be a better QB than Kyler, which could theoretically make Kliff look better.

What on earth are you even talking about? There was no forward momentum at all on that play, but there was a window when he got past the hash to just throw it into the stands and that's what he SHOULD have done. He was hoping something opened up I assume and it was a terrible decision allowing a guy who had a clear angle on him to close.
Ah, so you are positing that he should have thrown it away before the point where he tried to do so? Then yes, I would agree.

Canales figured out that T-Mac is his only good offensive weapon and is running the passing game thru him in only his second game of his career. That's not a big-brained decision.
and yet Petzing can't figure out how to get McBride and MHJ 10 targets each per game when the run game is producing 3.4 yards per attempt.

For the Murray die hards:

Kyler has literally said and is on tape saying that he loves the system he’s in and has raved about Petzing and how hard he works and his preparation. He also says he is the most prepared and comfortable that he’s ever been in his entire career. He raves about his teammates on the offensive side of the ball. Says they have the talent it takes to succeed. How do you square this from the guy that’s at every single meeting, on the practice field every single day, the one out there seeing them on the field and reviewing their tape after games/practices?

I’m pretty sure the answer is gonna be well what do you expect him to say? But he had no problem, criticizing his former head coach/OC and showing contempt for him? So I’m not sure that jives.

Should I call him a liar like was done when JG said K1 calls him late at night to discuss football?

Anyway, good for him glad to finally see unity in this garbage organization instead of the Drunk GM leaking to the media to save his ass and the coach taking pics for his 304 instagram model.

Finally!

I’m not suggesting you call him a liar at all, but what he says about Petzing and his system and the supporting cast, and what you guys say don’t fit in the same hole….. In fact they are in completely different hemispheres. So does Kyler just not have an eye for what a good system is then? Or what actual talent around him is either? Is he lacking in both areas? So does Kyler just not have a clue what he’s talking about?

Where publicly did kyler criticize Kliffys offensive scheme ? If we are talking both the sole time he yelled at Kliffy on the field bc Kliffy couldn’t get the play on time then I don’t agree with your assertion that he’s been critical publicly. Any link or interview would be great to see what you are referencing.

Zero care if K1 likes this offense and or thinks its taylor fit for him.

My eyes tell me this scheme is terrible for the weapons we have and will be exposed by better teams soon.

"Schematically were kind of FU%$#@" pretty much accomplishes this. Plus many other stories about how they had clearly soured. On top of the very public argument, they had mid game.

Ya I personally didn’t feel this was that critical… the public screaming we’ve seen with several coaches/players, but this instance you were referencing to was not getting the plays in on time that had building up friction.

I too, would love kyler to vocal about Petz crappy scheme.. but I don’t think. He will as he’s been very obviously on a mission to change his public/media perception. I don’t see him doing anything but “coaches speak” in any interviews.
