We just had the worst season in our history and it was without K1 playing almost all of the season by the fired coaches choice.

Dude slit his own throat for a crap OC and a crap QB.

JG should never get another HC job. What a loser.

Yup. There are other options out there probably more appetizing in cost-adjusted terms than Kyler.

Trading a mid-round pick for Mac Jones
Signing Snoop Huntley
Signing Malik Willis
Signing Kirk Cousins
Signing Russ Wilson
Signing Aaron Rodgers
Trading for Geno Smith

This thread is gonna be on fire with posts from random fan sites asking if Kyler Murray might be an option for their team. This is #content for SEO purposes.

According to OverTheCap, the deadline to modify contracts to take advantage of June 1 rules already passed. This means that either the cards wanted to keep their options open for Murray to come back or have no intention to release him with a June 1 designation.

It’ll be real clear what teams (if any) are pursuing Kyler because they’ll have lots of cap space opened between the start of free agency and March 22.

I’d say the likely possibilities are Kyler:

Gets traded with his current contract (5%)
Gets traded with a modified contract where the Cards pay more than 50% of his guaranteed 2026 salary (10%)
Plays for the Cards in ‘26 (10%)
Gets cut (75%)
No one on that list is better than K1.

We such a poor franchise.

I think it's pretty clear that was not his choice based on Murray's response to him being let go.

Gannon had many issues but he was the only good mark on our NFLPA ranking. Hopefully he learns from this, takes a DC job, and gets another shot in the future and picks some better coordinators

I don’t think it’s “pretty clear” but it does at least suggest that the announcement was more than JG going rogue.

I have no idea whose choice it was.
JG was the HC so he gets all the blame for it.

1 game was won this season without K1.

Who on that list is going to carry this dog crap team next season?
And Murray won 2 games that most consider "preseason" since starters don't play in real preseason.
Look, I liked Murray too at first. He was quick, fast and was fun to watch until everyone figured out how to contain him. If Murray had been just 2" taller, I think he would have made it to the HOF. So, if you're going to throw shade, aim it at his parents.

I don’t even know what the above means.
Please get it together as a fan, K1 was 2-3 which is about his average for his career.

You can say that is terrible but it is well about JGs record without. That tells me JG was a terrible coach with a terrible team that was made absolutely better when K1 played.

I'm a little confused by your response also
I was just saying IMO, if Murray was a little taller, he could have been able to throw over the middle a lot better.
As for your comment about K1 being 2-3, does that mean he won 2 and lost 3? Which means at best he would maybe win 7 and lose 10 which is not worth fighting for him whatsoever or he always wins 2 of 3 games which has him going about 11 wins per season? Pass the pipe my friend...LOL
And I also agree it was NEVER ALL K1s fault. But the problem with this forum sometimes everyone is suddenly wearing blinders when posting opinions such as forgetting about losing the running game by week 5. I don't like when someone says you can't blame injuries. Can we stop using the word BLAME and use CONTRIBUTING FACTOR.

Contributing factors
Lost RB1, RB2, RB3, QB1, lost several other first-string players at different times during the season. Conservative playcalling on both sides of the ball. Bidwill is a miser. That little 3x5 play sheet JG held for absolutely no apparent reason. MHJ dropping passes with nobody within 10 yds of him. Demercado dropping the ball before crossing the goal line..........I could keep going but my keyboard is getting hot and I want to go to bed!

K1 won 2 games, bud. You talk like he racked up a career high in Ws lol

And oh, you mean the career journeyman backup with no OL and worse injuries than a Vietnam war era platoon didn't win a bunch of games? Ya don't say lol

What is your point? If it's anything other than you're a Kyler fanboy and you still believe, I can't figure it.
