Will they? They’ll have to release him come March 12 or so.
Or Bidwill could decide to have the most expensive back up qb in the league. I don’t think Michael is going to agree to just release Kyler for nothing in return. And the way this organization is run you never know.
Also, it’s also possible we dump the entire coaching staff and bring in a new staff that could work with Murray.
Again , we can’t put anything past this organization.

Maybe, but it’s not the requirement that “have to” implies.

The biggest hurdle is Michael convincing the board to pay Kyler Murray some $37 million to not play. I raised the issue a few weeks ago that Michael is probably very susceptible to a snake-oil salesman telling him Kyler can be fixed and he won’t have to pay an unprecedented amount of money to buy his way out of this problem.

So, I think we’ll see fairly easy what the rest of the league really thinks of Kyler if he hits the open market.

You’re gonna have two of the best offensive minds on football going into next season possibly needing QBs. Andy Reid might be looking for a gap year QB, sitting Mahommes for the year and the coach in Minny with McCarthy.

And a lot of you seem to think Kyler is a sure thing for Minny if he’s cut. If he is cut and Minny doesn’t goes his way, what does that say? Same with Reid? If he’s as good as some think he is, I couldn’t think of a better offensive mind to rehab Kyler’s image than Reid if he really cared about being great. But would Reid even give him a sniff and what would it say if he doesn’t?

God, Kyler would be awful in KC.

The real test is if he is released. The contract will limit offers if Bidwill is merely trying to dump salariy

You say it’s possible we dump the entire coaching staff and bring in a new staff that could work with Murray but you never suggest that Murray has to also work with them and that is a huge hurdle.

look - if maholmes was struggling in kc this year murray won't work - kc is smart - they're going to suck next year and retool in the draft - travis kelce might be gone by then - chiefs relied too much on maholmes - they relied on his greatness instead of protecting it - offensive linemen are going to be highly sought in this year's draft but back to kyler murray who andy reid absolutely wouldn't want - the chiefs aren't giving up draft picks for a guy who quit after being benched - just not how they roll

I dunno. The Reid Eagles brought in Mike Vick and made something happen. Bringing in Kyler on a low-cost deal gives them credibility and perhaps allows them to sell an asset after a year of rehabilitation.

That said, I don’t see them trading for him.

Chiefs seem to do pretty well with players Cardinals feel don’t fit their high standards.

Absolutely. But at this moment. we don’t know Murray’s mindset.

Maybe that's why Kyler was wearing his dogkiller jersey earlier this season during his photoshoot with his own pitbull?

Once Kyler is on some other team will this thread become (or you could say remain) the Kyler Stan Thread? :D

Benching Kyler was needed for a lot of reasons, but the biggest reason is that it freed Gannon & Monti of any excuses.

This is the worst stretch of football since 2018. S/o to the FO.
It was done because Bidwill heard all the media talk of "You CAN'T bench Brissett! Not after beating DALLAS!"

I posted this in another thread but also can be here.

In the end K1 carried JG and its not debatable.

So, like, Kyler playing slightly below average is better than scrub QBs not playing well at all. That's not news.

He hasn't carried anything though. To carry someone you actually need to do well, not below average.

This team isn’t above average with any quarterback the fact that you can’t recognize that after watching us be pathetic for the last 12 games is unreal.
