Okay:

Car: 1 sack, first drive
@SFO: 1 sack, first quarter
SEA: 1 sack, start of 3rd quarter
TEN: 2 sacks, both 2nd quarter
@DAL: 2 sacks, first drive and first drive of the third quarter
@SEA: 1 sack, third quarter
SFO: 1 sack, first drive of third quarter
@TAM: 2 sacks, first drive and second drive (both first quarter)

That’s honestly pretty wild that guy has 11 sacks and zero came in the fourth quarter.
How much of that is him, how much is Rallis's milquetoast 4th quarter game calling, and in the games that were blowouts, they were running the ball almost exclusively at the end.

Only two of those games are blowouts? You don’t have to put on the tinfoil hat to think it’s weird that Sweat isn’t making plays when it matters.

I don't think it is weird. Teams are going to put more focus on key players at the end of games. By the 4th Q teams are more comfortable shifting protection to where they want and leaving other plays one on one. Sweat has 25 pressures which highlights more impact than just sacks.

What we are seeing is that Sweat is not the EDGE player who is going to take over a game, but I don't believe any of us thought he was when we signed him.

There is a very big chance.

JG is not a winning HC and K1 masked a lot of this teams horrible play.

JB puts up great numbers in garbage time but quarters 1-3 he is average at best and terrible most of the time.
K1 made a bad offensive coordinator look worse. What exactly did K1 mask? He could scramble, sure, saving some sacks, but that's wiped out by his utter ineptness in the pocket. Making out like K1 made a bad team look competent *smdh*

Plus his saying this like Kyler has some winning record. Kyler is a losing QB

The OL this year looked just as terrible with Kyler in. I'm not sure what Kyler masked? The defense was a lot healthier when Kyler was in, but its not like he was throwing touchdowns.

If Minnesota takes him I guess there's good chance he wins more than us. Flores defense is getting them wins with sub Josh Rosen play.

Officially done for the year, per Gannon
Can we now drop the “he’s injured” silliness? If they wanted him to play to better their chances of winning they wouldn’t make this statement at any time because he could definitely heal in time to play one, two, or three games over the span of a month left in the season.

I am confused by Gannon claiming Kyler was still the starter after the Dallas game, then they made a business decision.

What do you mean by business decision? There’s several posters on here that say Kyler is really and truly hurt. And that’s just not possible you know because some doctor saw a video and came to a guess of a conclusion. Of what it could or might possibly be. I’m really not sure how a player being injured is a business decision. :)

Org decided to try and save 19.5 million by benching/injurying K1. Forgot to tell JG

he has actually been better than i thought. I feared he was a product of 3 other good rushers and a really good secondary. He has been more effective than I thought -- i was ready for a 9 sack year

Confirmed what I believed. I dont think there are any real first round QBs in the draft this year so the Big Red should trade down out of what I think will be a top 5 pick. The Big Red dont need another prima donna who thinks he "he is john Wayne". Quote from Full Metal Jacket. Also thought of a WR makes me sick even without example of Harrison. The Big Red always found WRs on the streets or in later rounds. Guys like Roy Green, Pat Tilley, Mel Gray and Ike Harris. Early pick WRs were their whole career better than anyone else so never had to work at the position. Dorial Green Beckham is an extreme example. I believe Murray was influencing the decisions with Hopkins, Hollywood Brown etc,

Difference or problem is I dont think K1 is lazy. I think he's unaware or aloof. Which could be a bigger problem.

Rightly or wrongly, K1 might not see Jacoby losing a bunch of games as being better. And he might look at Jacoby is allowed/forced to throw all game which he clearly wasnt in the 13 personnel/run heavy JC days.

It'll be interesting what lessons he takes from this if any.
I’d call him intellectually lazy. Hes willing to put in the physical work, but it seems not the mental work.

a garbage article, gleaming opinions from Weinfuss (already a terrible source):

"Weinfuss reiterated that a majority of Murray’s demands were dismissed and ignored."

I think this is a lazy assessment.

Cardinals GM/Coach were saying Kyler is completely bought in for years. I think he simply isnt enough of an outside the box thinker to overcome being a 5'9" QB playing in a muddy pocket.

How he prepares at that height is very different than someone 6'1".

I think he needed to be special mentally and have a special team (off the field) around him to overcome his limitations and develop a consistency.
