hmmm... I looked into this a little more and there was a more recent study done in 2021 that supports the idea that generally, more money does make you happier! wow!

So, I stand corrected, and let's all go get that money!! :)

I wonder whether Payton would bring him in to "back up" Nix? Nix has been kinda lousy and Payton has experience making a short QB a hall of famer.

Of course, Payton would need to believe that Murray would completely change his stripes and commit to studying film and working his ass off outside the weight room. Maybe being benched and traded would open Murray's eyes, and he'd finally buy into a coach with Payton's gravitas.
No offensive coach believes Kyler is an answer at QB. Nothing he does is sustainable.

IDK. Somebody is going to look at what they have got, look at what's out there and say "You know, I think Murray is our best chance."

Who? I have no idea. But Kyler is not out of the league. He has a higher passer rating this season than Purdy, Penix, Burrow, Caleb Williams and several other QBs starting today.

I mean look at Justin Fields. He got TWO shots at getting reclaimed as a starter. No way nobody ever thinks about Kyler again.

If there’s one constant in the NFL it’s mid QB’s getting chance after chance.
This is what 95% hopium looks like.

He is better than Anthony Richardson and Indy is a team that can win and now need a QB next year. He will have nearly 12 dome games with Indy. Could be a good fit for him as a stop gap.

Steichen would probably trust Mac Jones more
You are not wrong, but he is also under contract next year and with Prudy's injury history, I do not see them letting their $4 million insurance policy go. They can get out of Prudy's deal after next season, so Jones could be their guy after that too.

Shanahan can do it with anyone. Trade Mac Jones for a 3rd and see if you can fix Richardson or someone.

Indy might think the same and see him as a system QB, no?

my unpopular opinion:

Kyler can be a B+ kinda QB in this league and can win games, but has to have a really good supporting cast around him. You see it in his productivity: he is like the perfect barometer for the quality of the Cardinal roster on offense.

Doesnt mean he should stay -- that ship has sailed. And he isnt for everyone.

I do think he is probably best in a more spread style scheme where there are fewer bodies around the ball / more passing choices immediately after the snap. Its a legit question on if that kinda scheme can even work in the NFL.

Kiffs scheme got tailored in Wash -- and it seemingly doesnt work anymore
