People are very strange. I’ve been a pretty consistent critic of Kyler since the second half of 2021, but it really shouldn’t be hard to acknowledge that those fumbles definitely have a lot of blame laid at Brisset’s feet. Two things can be true.

Kyler kept us in purgatory and Brissett is a career journeyman backup for a reason. Neither one is the guy to move forward with but it seems like so many people have lodged themselves into one camp or the other and admitting fault for either is fate worse than death.

I admit I'm stunned at how much Kyler has fumbled when running. I knew he had a tendency to run with the ball in one hand but I wouldn't have guessed 37 fumbles. Not all lost of course but man that's bad

I think a lot of that fumbles on the sidelines out of bounds is factored in. I don’t recall him losing more than 2-3 fumbles max - in a season . surely there’s a lost fumbles stat as it’s recorded in the box score on espn

For what it’s worth.. max of 4 fumbles loss per season… some zeros and 2’s in there as well

ESPN says 37 fumbles 8 lost on the run stats.

Still 37 is pretty stunning so you may be right they count fumbles out of bounds

No I'm not, Gannon is. Gannon said it yesterday in must throw situations the protection has to be there and the ball has to come out faster. Neither happened.

ESPN doesn't seem to have fumble stats for passing so I am using AI so if wrong blame Google gemini. Kyler has about 1000 more pass attempts in his career than JB, 2900 to 1900 roughly. Kyler has 532 carries JB 264. So kyler has about 1250 more times with the ball. GEmini says Kyler has fumbled 53 times, and JB 38, ESPN does have fumble stats for rushes and Kyler has 37(!), JB has 13. So JB has 25 fumbles in 1900 pass attempts and Kyler has 16 fumbles in 2900 pass attempts if Gemini is correct. So if correctly JB is WAY more likely to fumble on pass attempts than kyler. In the same number of attempts he'd have about 37 fumbles based on his rate. I would suggest that's part of why he's never lasted as a starter he holds the ball so long.

It's been great having a guy willing to stand in there to deliver the ball, I'm just saying the 2 defensive TD's on Sunday were as much on JB as the OL, he didn't get the ball out fast enough.
You're absolutely right. With Murray those two defensive TD's would never have occurred.
Let's see 44-14=30

Yes, cards 22, hawks 30
Well, I feel better :)

Especially with the fumbles loss stat that I just posted which likely includes non rushing fumbles

I'm not absolving JB of blame, but maybe he did not get the ball out sooner because no one was open and he was going through his progressions. Done with his convo, let's agree to disagree.

And again they wouldn’t have done all those blitzes because Kyler is a mobile QB quarterback
Kyler would've been eaten by that D, blitz or no blitz. And why not blitz Kyler? He might escape the pocket, but there's more evidence that he'd go fetal or chuck up a duck.

Well, since Kyler didn't play, impossible to prove.

Best I can do is that Seattle game planned for an immobile, slow-release QB.

And the fact that Kyler had the Cardinals in position to beat Seattle earlier this year.
You keep saying you aren't a Kyler stan, but...

JB ***** the bed this game and the narrative is he threw 2 garbage tds and stat padded yards.

Many of us pointed out that this team is garbage even when we won. Now the KDS crew has zero places to run and they don’t want to admit that failure is once again here and had little to do with K1.

Talk about derangement, equating a career backup QB to Kyler. Unless you think Kyler would have performed any better yesterday, which is laughable. Yes, we failed with JB, a backup. Surprise surprise! It's failing with the supposed superstar QB whose literal job is to elevate the team that is truly disappointing.

So anyone that can look realistic at the situation is a Stan. Got it. So you have KDS then?
KDS was invented by Kyler stans. Anyone who said one tiny word against Kyler got painted by that brush. It's an apologist crutch. Kyler isn't the guy here. He hasn't been for years. He and his choking have been a major problem in years past, and his awful play recently means he's been bad before even getting the chance to choke. I mean, you keep hanging your hat on a performance that has been Kyler's highlight of the season, which was a comeback to...a tying position. I mean, if that's not emblematic of what Kyler was this season, nothing is. That is his HIGH point.

So our career journeyman backup QB finally got rocked in a game. Shocker. Does that absolve Kyler in any way, shape, or form? No. It is still entirely damning that JB managed to make this offense look functional in a way Kyler couldn't come close to. If that doesn't discourage you utterly on Kyler, I got nothing for you.

Fantasy? LOL. Kyler has been top 10 in fantasy every single year he's started, so this is a pretty bizarre take.

Also, this very season he's averaging more fantasy points per game than JB.

there's a hippie like me in every fanbase in the nfl - i guess - i'm the guy who can get it for you - bootleg jerseys - a bag of reefer if you're partial - a bottle of brandy to celebrate a rare divisional victory - damn near anything - within reason.

i must admit i didn't think much of kyler first time i laid eyes on him - he might'a been important in college but in here he was just a little turd wearing ipods - looked like a stiff breeze could blow him over...that was my first impression of the man

yet i could see why some of the boys took him for cocky - he had a quiet way about him - a walk and a talk that just wasn't normal around here - he strolled like a man without a care or a worry in the world - like a man who was already in the hof - like he had on an invisible coat that would shield him from this place called arizona - yeah - i think it would be fair to say... i liked kyler from the start

but i guess after conner was injured kyler decided he'd been here just about long enough - so kyler did like he was told - and buffed those dress shoes to a high mirror shine - monti simply didn't notice - neither did i... i mean seriously - how often do you really look at a qbs shoes?

in 2026 kyler murray escaped from statefarm stadium in arizona - all they found of him was a beanie - a discarded cards unifirm - a bar of soap - and an old controller used to play call of duty - damn near worn down to the nub

kyler crawled to freedom through five hundred yards of ish smelling foulness i can't even imagine - or maybe I just don't want to - five hundred yards... that's the length from statefarm field to the 101 freeway - just shy of half a mile.

You must be registered for see images attach

kyler being gone - i have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be in a pocket - their feet are just too happy

You are undervaluing KM. He was not a supposed superstar, but generational. What a joke that turned out to be. Generational bust!
