Looks like the "debate" is over.
ESPN and NFL Media are both reporting the Cardinals are likely to part ways with quarterback Kyler Murray, as Jacoby Bissett takes over as starter.

Per ESPN, “Arizona and Murray are expected to have extensive discussions to help determine whether to move forward together or go their own ways. Many sources believe the latter is the likely outcome, with one source saying this week that ‘a separation is imminent.’”
NFL Media confirmed that “it seems more likely than not” that the two sides will part ways this offseason.
The reports from ESPN and NFL Media also confirmed that the Cardinals would take on a $17.9 million cap hit if they trade Murray — meaning that outcome would save more than $30 million.
Per both reports, $19.5 million of Murray’s contract in 2027 would become fully guaranteed if he remains on the roster on the fifth day of the league year. That effectively gives the Cardinals a deadline by which they must determine Murray’s future.
The league year begins on March 11, which is also when free agency opens.
