Same. He won at Michigan but THEY won because of the run game and an other worldly defense. I was shocked to see him climbing in the draft. My Michigan alum buddies hated me for my takes on jJ. It’s still too early to say he’s Kyler (he’s only started 3 games?). But I still stand by my original assessment.
I think he could be Kirk Cousins. Kyler became this.

What is this things where the QB moves his head to look at different options? I seem to recall it long in the past, but it's been a while.

Seriously though, it's underrated how well Jacoby has been playing. His feet, pocket manipulation, calmness under pressure and ball placement in these clips is top level.

If Drake Maye or Baker Mayfield made these throws NFL twitter would be jerking off over them.

First impressions are everything to NFL fans. Jacoby could perform like this way for a full year, the first time he has a bad game he will be seen as trash waiting to be discarded. Hell, some fans think that whenever he has a single bad throw.

We saw this last year with Darnold.

From the "Gannon/Monti/Petzing should be fired" thread:
Let’s be honest nobody could win with Kyler Murray at quarterback….especially when you factor in the huge contract Monti had to work around…will never understand why keim took him number one overall being that short…
For his first 2.5 years, he was on a great trajectory and sure looked as though he could be a successful top-10 franchise QB.

To me, with how 2021 ended and with his injury, Murray lost confidence and also lost faith in the staff and FO...and I just think any time he got bought into the plan, something negative would happen and set him back.
Here are some interesting splits.

Under Kingsbury:
Murray, first half of 2021 (building on continual improvement from 2019-2020):
7-0, 73.5%, 3.4:1 TD:Int, 9.0 y/a, 116.8 passer rating

GB game, 2nd half of 2021, and 2022 (18 games):
5-13, 66%, 1.75:1 TD:Int, 6.4 y/a, 86.9 rating

Under Gannon:
End of 2023 through the first 10 games of 2024 (after 6 games to get up to speed with the new O and complete his recovery from the ACL tear, up through the four-game winning streak):
7-5, 70.6%, 4:1 TD:Int, 8.0 y/a, 103.4 passer rating

Since then:
4-8, 68.3%, 1.37:1 TD:Int, 6.5 y/a, 86.9 rating

Seems as though either defenses figure out how to stop Murray in any scheme, or he just loses interest and stops trying after a while. (Right around when Call of Duty comes out!)

So I promised to read this thread and when it reached 200 pages. It's now over 300 pages I still haven't read it yet. Did I miss anything?

I can't remember when we last hit a guy in stride and gained yards like this.

Man... Wilson suxx..slow...bad routes...bad hands... dude should be a WR3,...no way is he WR2 material....

Three games with a real QB....and suddenly MikeWilly might have learned how to play football.

Great timing

IMHO, the mid season issues start when he get banged up, doesn't trust his legs and gets in his head. He tweaked his hamstring in the Seattle game last year and wasn't the same after. Hss windows with his size and is closing and he has just one more chance elsewhere to show he has something.

This entire post is a huge, huge, huge huge ooof on Kyler smh

There was lots of good bits but my favorites were Marv working with JB on the sideline on how to run a route against their coverage, that worked. Kyler just sits there.

And JB making cut ups and sending them to Mike on how to run routes vs upcoming opponents coverage.

Kyler would never.
