It looks worse because it is worse. A pocket passer needs more time, and the OL is not giving it to him. There were bodies collapsing pockets ALL NIGHT last night. If OL isn't a multi pick proposition next draft, there's no point in getting a shiny new QB

Fro and Paris are keepers. As is Hernandez now he's proven his fitness. The biggest issue is RT, thankfully Williams contract is up. Sadly FA sucks for RT next year and it doesn't look like a great draft class.

Time is running out for thr regime. Lets them pick their QB and see what they can do with thier guy and extend JB to stay around as the mentor/back up for a 3-4 season. Unfortunately, I don’t see Kyler being moved in the next 2.5 hours. Id do Fields straight up for Kyler today and let JB start with Fields as his backup. The cap relief would be worth more than late picks right now.

Searched the thread but didn’t see anything. Have we discussed this?

At this point, unless Kyler comes in and actually looks like a Top-10 QB, we've seen the last of him in AZ

Yup, it's obvious that DP wants a true pocket passer and his offense flows better with one. DP still has issue, but overall his plan looks better. Still needs to get the QBs to audible when there is defender unaccounted for. Kyler has missed it a ton and JB missed it at least 2 times last night.

Yup. His time is done. Eat whatever you can on cap this year and clear for next year and move on and get what you can if you can.

What offense is successful without a QB that operates in a pocket?! Hurts/Lamar take hits in the pocket all the time making big throws. I haven't seen any successful QB turtle like KM does in the pocket.

Again I ask... Can you name a QB, similar to Kyler who is not able to be reliably effective in the pocket, who has gone on to achieve success in the NFL? Who became a proven winner in the post season? Won a Super Bowl?
This nonsense about what DP "wants," or "DP's scheme isn't a good match for Kyler," is just that - nonsense.

What do they think...KM is gonna be an option QB or something? Play some wing T? Maybe they can run a triple option...sounds plausible.

List all of the QBs who are 5'9" and I'll pick from that list. Drew Brees and RW are the shortest guys that worked in the pocket and both are taller than Kyler. Kyler is too short to stand tall in the pocket and he is shortest next to Flutie, who wasn't knows as a pocket passer. He spend half his career in the CFL because of it. Doug started 66 career NFL games. 15 before he went to the CFL.

Kyler had success early on without being in the pocket. So, early Kyler did and then poof, it disappeared. Maybe it disappeared because of his body, maybe enough tape is out there, maybe a list of other reasons like Hopkins being him out. Who knows. Either way, it did work and also did work for Floutie late in his career when we came back to the NFL. It’s rare, but has worked in limited spats.

If there is a takeaway, the NFL catches up to things like this. The Kyler experiment in AZ is winding down and I'll be interested to see who he performs wjth another team and system.

Look at whats going on with Tua. How quickly things have eroded for Russ. Bryce Young's team is winning but he's still not taken a "leap"

It might just be the NFL figured out the whole short QB thing. There is a reason that even Drew Brees at 6'1" was seen as testing the limit at one point. Just like how in the NBA short guards who arent elite shooters are becoming extinct.
