Yeah there’s definitely a world where he never becomes elite. I just truly believe the second he’s under a coach like Reid or Shanahan or McVay the sky will be the limit for him.

It's the bottom of the ninth for our boy Josiah. Two outs.

The next time K1 steps on the field, we need a big game from him. We need a really, good, complete game.

K1 superfans need something to rekindle hope.

I think the hard truth I've had to accept is Kyler just doesnt see it well enough.
Maybe its because of height or he's just not elite mentally.

Its the concern I have about any trade to the Vikings. Even the best offensive minds who run WCO might think he's too short and not rhythmic enough for their offense.

I will say are the JG/Arizona Cardinals "college" for Kyler? He got 3 years of trying to run a WCO so maybe that will appeal to teams. I think he'd be in much more trouble if he had these disappointing seasons and about to be 29 after being in Kliff's offense.

I do wonder does K1 have the stomach to go through what Baker went through?

Cause there is a possibility (if this QB draft class improves) that he's not given a starting job.

As far is hope I think we'd have to see him go on a 4 or 5 game run. One game would just feel like a tease that ultimately ruined our draft pick.

I watch Gannons post game interview. When asked about Brissetts day he threw around compliments like they were sewer covers.
Seemed a little strange.

To quote batman:

Murray vs brissett is not the QB controversy we deserve, but it's the one we need right now. Because Jacoby brissett is not our hero, he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a dark knight

I want to put this nonsense about Kyler being too small to take hits to bed. It's crap.

He's just a fanny.

He's no smaller than Mayfield, Wilson, Lamar, Brees, Bryce Young and a dozen other past and present QB's considering none of this is about height. It's about mass and will.

Kyler is a rocked up dude. He's easily big enough to stand in the pocket and make a throw with a rusher in his face.

He just doesn't want to.

Oh it’s for sure his biggest on this team.

That was the difference today between him and JB for sure.
His biggest issues are:
--He panics
--He's not good in the pocket
--Unnecessary negative plays
--Daddy is his QB coach
--He works on his body but not enough on the mental part of the game

Another not insignificant issue is the team. Only one of the problems and not the biggest.

If it's turf toe, he won't be healthy the rest of the season. He'll be managing pain. If we had a realistic shot at making the playoffs, I'd push for Kyler to play. We're not, so let him heal up and not mess that injury up more.
That leads to another issue--he can't play hurt.

Admit that you thought Baker Mayfield was washed when he was playing linebacker for the scout team in Carolina lol

Or admit that you thought Darnold was a bust when he was seeing ghosts for the Jets?

And there’s no way you thought Danny “I don’t make good decisions” Jones was a starting qb in this league. I can admit I was wrong about all those guys!

You don’t go from being the best qb in the history of Texas high school football and winning the Heisman in college and being rookie of the year in the NFL to suddenly not knowing how to play football….Coaching is everything.
lol No to this post. And lol yes to the bolded, yes you can, ignoring your hyperbole. Apologize for poor wittle Kyler more, please.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, Crimson, but he's been mercy ruled already. One great game isn't going to cut it any more. He's shown he can put up a great game every season. What he needs is to be consistently good, week in, week out, the rest of the season. It's just not in his tool bag.

I'm not saying to keep Petzing, but the offense looked a lot better yesterday. In a loss, and Jacoby is not the future, and Petzing still managed to call some stinkers, but it did look a lot better.

I saw enough yesterday to let me know anyone behind this line will end up injured if they aren’t mobile and even that is questionable.

It’s not good and you better be able to take big hits.

Got an interesting question this weekend, is Murray fixable? I don’t know, but
I’m certain the Cards damaged him initially by putting him behind a weak line. To fix him my best guess is a great Oline. Keep a good blocking RB in on long or complex passes. Get receivers with unusually good catching radiuses. Then maybe.
