Kobe Brown keeps outgrowing expectations

Kobe Brown is a reluctant star player. On two separate occasions this season — road games on Nov. 29 against Wichita State and Feb. 27 against Georgia — Brown asked head coach Dennis Gates to cut down his minutes and allow others to play in his spot. Brown can be too humble at times, though, like he was in the team’s home game against South Carolina on Feb. 7.
