    When houses get into a certain value they are a LOT less influenced by market trends. I'm sure he will be fine.

    It is a terrible time to buy a home right now overall but it is likely still to be a better investment than renting.

    At that price point, whenever he decides to sell it, it'll take maybe 2 yrs to find a buyer. This is not SoCal. Even when BA sold his house, he lost money. Randy Johnson had to put his on an auction to find a buyer.

    I kinda like the contemporary look, but it does look lllooonnggg. If it were more square, less rectangular (and smaller) I would love it.
