Trade buzz continues to grow amid Kirk Cousins' recent absence from Falcons OTAs — and the Steelers were a heavily rumored landing spot for the veteran QB.

Cousins signed with the Falcons last year in free agency on a four-year, $180 million deal but was benched in favor of then-rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. Atlanta has made it clear that Cousins could remain in a backup role — but a trade seems like the far more ideal scenario for both sides.

The Falcons are reportedly looking for potential trade suitors willing to take on at least $20 million of his $37.5 million in guaranteed money — an ask that no team has been willing to meet yet.

Cousins clearly sees the writing on the wall, as the former Vikings QB is likely keeping himself away from team activities like OTAs until a trade is achieved.

Jeremy Fowler reported that the Steelers viewed Cousins as Plan B if Aaron Rodgers forced Pittsburgh to wait too long — but with his recent absence from OTAs, one can't help but wonder if a trade is now on the horizon.
