Suns are 1-2 as well losing to the Nuggets at home in their opener, winning at the Lakers but losing to the Trail Blazers in Portland.

The game will be televised on Bally Sports Arizona.

Cam Payne is OUT (right hamstring) and will be reevaluated in a week per Suns.

I think the team is a bit drunk (or hungover) from their finals run. I think they expected to roll over Denver and when Denver fought back from down 15, we just never woke up. Then they got themselves up for the Laker game because it's the Lakers. Fresh off that success the lowly Blazers were supposed to be a doormat and we never showed up.

They need to find the "fight for every possession" mentality they played with for most of last season. The West is going to be a warzone again, if they want to get another high seed then they need to run a team like Sacramento out of the gym.

The Blazer are not a “doormat” and haven’t been ever since they’ve had Dame and CJ. We just got beat down

This team needs to win this game if they don’t show up again then I think we got real cause for concern.

They need to understand they are going to get the other teams best shot every single night.

Oh and something to watch Bagley has been out of the rotation but if he gets serious minutes tonight it might be a showcase for the Suns

I'm not seeing the fire in the Suns team yet other than when they showed up briefly in Los Angeles. Of course they started last season 8-8 before they kicked it into gear but they had a lot of new players. Also that team started quick.

The Suns lack of perimeter defense is the most concerning.

Sounds like Elfrid Payton is one of the last players off the court.

If the Suns do not improve defensively I wonder if part of it could be due to the loss of Willie Green to the Pelicans?

Green often received credit for the Suns defensive improvement, work with players and attention to detail.

First possession of the game Ayton had an opening and just didn’t head to the basket.
