King's Academy basketball star Jade Jones signed with the University of Houston, the school announced on social media.

After committing in October last year, the signing makes it official for Jones and the Cougars.

Playing as both a shooting forward and guard, Jones will join a Houston squad that will welcome her talents after finishing the year with a 5-25 record.

Having finished her high school career with more than 1700 points scored for the Lions, Jones helped her team navigate to the regional finals as one of the Palm Beach County's best teams this year.

She and twin brother Javian Jones have been hallmarks of King's Academy sports during their high-school careers, with Jade transitioning from soccer to basketball in the fifth grade — and with great success.
