Kyler owes an apology to Jerry Jones for all the time National Media has spent talking about him and not about "The Boys". In a week, "We now return to our regularly scheduled programming."

To everyone that supported me and showed kindness to my family and I during my time in AZ, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I wanted nothing more than to be the one to end the 77 year drought for this organization, I am sorry I failed us. I wish this community and my brothers nothing but the best.

I am no stranger to adversity, I am prepared for whatever’s next. I trust in God and my work ethic. I truly believe my best ball is in front of me and I look forward to proving it.

Godspeed.
Thanks for nothing. You could have worked with the organization to open trade talks with teams that were to your liking.
Keep the 300m as a token of our thanks….for nothing.

Now they're gonna draft the next Beanie Wells at #3, then bring in some stiff like Jimmy G to play QB. He'll be out for the year by game 3 after getting pummeled relentlessly behind a porous OL, replaced by some other retread.

So Monti has let Hopkins, Murray, and someone else I'm forgetting, for nothing.

He also didn't grant Budda his trade request a few years ago when Budda's value was likely much higher. Instead, he chose to keep Budda on a bottom 5 defense into his 30s.

They wouldn't release him without a guarantee of who they know who the starter is next year.

Options:
The rumors of Willis may be true. But Vikings and Dolphins are also interested.

Garoppolo - but dude will be 35 next year and have had meaningful starts the year 2 years

Cousins - ok year last year. But will be 38 and the booth is calling for him

Brissett - we know what he was, can CML raise his game?

Simpson - ???

For the record, I predicted they wouldn’t be able to trade him.

In other news, they can go make an offer to Daniel Jones. I’d pay Jones 40 mil a year before I pay Malik Willis 35 mil a year.
I think Indy matches anything up to $43-45 million. The tag is basically $38 million.

For the record, you were hardly the only one making that prediction.
Yeah definitely not alone, but many here were being naive thinking we were getting a 2nd rounder or 3rd rounder…We got jack squat for a QB that’s about to be in the playoffs next year - That’s a prediction most won’t make (assuming he doesn’t go to the Jets that is.)

Have the Cardinals ever had a good GM? We hate on Bidwill a lot and he deserves it for hiring such trash GM’s, but is that it? Is that the real curse? The Cards will just always have crappy GM’s?

FWIW RUMOR - From PHNX today, Petzing lobbied for JB to play over Kyler to unlock the pass game.

Kyler injury flared up again on way to Indy. So they took that as the opportunity to make the change.

JG wanted Kyler to play again last season, but defferred to Drew in the end.

MO tried to trade Kyler last year for a day 2 pick. No one wanted the contract.

FWIW RUMOR - More from PHNX today, Kyler was very frustrated with Petzing. Scheme was not a match and was concerned that it would hurt his value over the long term.

Well I am going to have to agree with Kyler there.
It basically takes generational type talent to elevate oneself over the cesspool known as the Cardinals. Very few have been able to attain it.

And yes - if Drew freaking Petzing was able to pull the strings to dictate who the starting QB should/shouldn't be that is in itself an organizational failure.

Assuming this is true:

When I speak to organizational failure this is it. Petzing was hired and Gannon himself said he wanted to implement something that looks like the Eagles: heavy running attack and then big pass plays off of that.

When Petzing benched Kyler in order to pursue some pass-heavy offense we basically decided to go 180 on how the team and scheme was supposedly built.

Monti is the last man standing and has no more excuses. JG has been fired. K1 is about to be released.

Other organizations in recent history have shown just how easy it is to make the playoffs in year 1, heck 3 teams did it last year.

If you're cutting K1, this doesn't become a throwaway year, Monti already did that in 2023. For me, it's playoffs or fire him.

As an armchair GM, it's not that complicated. Hire a competent HC. Start a competent QB. Invest in the offensive line to protect that QB.
