those are a short collection of busts

Kyler wasnt a bust, just not that good. The fact he won the ROY negates him from said argument.

Now was he really good?.....showed spurts. league figured him out. But he wasnt a bust

To put him and Jamarcus Russell in the same class is just ignorant

Even with eating $ it still leaves the other team on the hook for around 35 million? You think Kylers worth that to some other team plus draft capitol based off what you've seen the last 5 seasons? Really? Honestly? if yes WOW!
It sure seems like quality GM's find a way to make things work

There are already teams trading late round picks to solidify their RB and Oline rooms

Someone somewhere has to think they can resurrect him

I'm not a GM and Monti is

It's his job to get things done and when he doesn't it's all on him

All I can do is SMH that literally anyone thought Kyler looked good enough to give up draft picks and pay 35+ mill….. It’s literal insanity.

Thank you Kyler for stabilizing the the QB position because fandom, though they hate you, forgot the HOF talent this putrid franchise has fielded before you like Ryan freakin Lindley, Dewreck Anderson and Max Hall. You were always too talented for this putrid franchise with a cheap owner, a drunk GM, worst facilities in the league, and a ugly fanbase who hated you since you got drafted. Go somewhere and prove them wrong.

FWIW RUMOR - From PHNX today, Petzing lobbied for JB to play over Kyler to unlock the pass game.

Kyler injury flared up again on way to Indy. So they took that as the opportunity to make the change.

JG wanted Kyler to play again last season, but defferred to Drew in the end.

MO tried to trade Kyler last year for a day 2 pick. No one wanted the contract.
I hope none of this is true it would be just one more reason to hate this franchise.

For the record, I predicted they wouldn’t be able to trade him.

In other news, they can go make an offer to Daniel Jones. I’d pay Jones 40 mil a year before I pay Malik Willis 35 mil a year.
Indy can match any offer and the TT is for $37 million. The DJ world need to be well north of $55 million a year for a few years for Indy to pass.

We all watch Kyler play for the last five years…. Anyone honestly thinking that they could get anything for him was delusional to begin with. Who the hell would trade for what we’ve seen on the field for the last half decade?
A few who wanted him cut last year swore we should get at least a 2nd. I thought a 4th or 5th was possible, but there are only 2-3 suitors and they knew we were moving on by the moronic handling of his this season, so they know he'll be cheaper all around is cut.

Any team that would have traded for Kyler would have been getting grilled over the coals. Why give up anything when you know the Cardinals got zero option but to release him? Its lts like paying for your coffee knowing the store got a free giveaway 5 minutes later smh

What are you on about? Michael could have paid all the guarantees except for the minimum to move him — basically what he’s already paying now. The trade partner would only be on the hook for the $17MM in 2027.

If a team can get two years of Kyler Murray for $30MM guaranteed,
You’d have to be Monti Ossenfort not to find a trade partner.

Maybe something is wrong with the EPA stat? Is that the only one we get to use?

Kyler should have found a way to play more games outdoors and in the cold. Gimme a break.

No, the Cards were never going to get two firsts or a second or whatever for Kyler Murray. But Malik Willis is about to get $30 million a year guaranteed. Monti Ossenfort is butt at his job.

Including the $36.5M he’s owed in 2026, QB Kyler Murray has secured over $206M on the field since being selected #1 overall back in 2019.
