Started off a little bit ho-hum and the writing is fairly poor, but once it got going it was just a fun summer popcorn movie. A lot of references to the ride, especially in the beginning.

Alex and I saw it Saturday - had some time to kill at the mall waiting for glasses to be done, only movie that fit the time frame.

Decent movie, one predictable twist, one OK twist, like you said, good popcorn movie.

No idea on the actual ride, since I have never been to Disneyland/World.

Curious what your twists were... Ok vs. predictable. I just remember the main one which I thought was pretty good.

Predictable was the jaguar being his pet (obvious from the first stage of the "fight"), OK was Frank being one of the original crew

Blatant Pirates rip off

I usually enjoy the Rock being the Rock but I wasn’t feeling this movie

I found it thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. Not a bad way to spend a Friday night at home.

Entertaining but I don't need more than one that's for sure.
