And yet zero video and proof until today.

Sounds like they need to do a better job of journalisming.
They are not allowed to publish videos taken on the training fields.

There are notices all over the press spaces in the Cardinals facility reminding them of this, violate it and your access is history. I know this as I used to have press access.

So they can see it even hear and hear about it but if it comes from the privileged access they can't talk about it

So how did they get this one?

Also, wow talk about a racket. I love football but the more I find out about it the less respect I have for the NFL.

Pro sports teams own fans nothing when it comes to press access to practices. In fact, it would be competitively stupid to do that. They have the mandatory press conferences and the weekly injury report. That is what we get and all we should get.

I know for a fact there are unattributable back channels, friendships, [authorized] leaks all sorts of methods

But if you see or hear it on the training field or in the facility (as a result of your access) you can't use that source. For Brighteyes and I, Rod Graves would occasionally tell us things or let something slip and we told nobody. Unlike some of the speculation we see here, we KNEW that Dave McGuinness was being fired ahead of time but told nobody.

However I know the regular press hear things they can't use but then go looking for a source of the same information they can use. I know becuase I've been involved in such a situation with an ESPN rep

This is standard corporate message management, happens in every company

Nah, it's got to be this way if the journos want that level of access. Otherwise they would get no access. Who wants their team's dirty laundry aired in public? Injuries, game plans, etc? Nobody. What journos want access? All of them. It's a balancing act, that's all.

That said, the Arizona media should be harsh on the Cards and nobody cares enough to do so.

Semi-related?

Sweat is in the second season of a four-year, $76.4 million deal. The largest cap hits will come in the 2027 and 2028 seasons. He is set to count for $23.6 million against the cap in both seasons.

He got $38 million as a signing bonus. He got all of his guaranteed money up front and already wants a new deal? Get real.

Probably just a way to get traded.

If I were a betting man I would say Detroit will be on teh short list? They desperately need help on defense. We don't really have any CB"s to trade them and Budda wouldn't help their problem is big pass plays. So the most logical response is if you can't get a CB, get a pass rusher, enter Josh Sweat?

If he wasn't constantly dropping passes I'd say Jameson Williams since we need speed but he can't catch the ball so I'd prefer a draft pick.
