He may have a long road to recovery, if he ever fully recovers.

He had a Kässbohrer PistenBully snowplow fall on top of him while clearing snow from around his Lake Tahoe home. The machine weighs approximately 14,330 pounds, which gives an idea of the seriousness of the accident.

"The right side of Jeremy’s chest was crushed, and his upper torso had collapsed," the media outlet explains.

"Word is the damage to Jeremy’s chest was so substantial it had to be reconstructed in surgery," 'Radar Online' confirms.

Actor Jeremy Renner says he broke more than 30 bones in snowplow accident

Actor Jeremy Renner broke more than 30 bones in his body when he was run over by a snowplow earlier this month, he said in an Instagram post Saturday.
“Much love and appreciation to you all,” said Renner, 52, who plays superhero Hawkeye in Marvel’s “Avengers” and also starred in Paramount+ crime thriller series “Mayor of Kingstown”

“These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens.”

Renner was plowing snow for a neighbor near his home in Reno, Nevada, when he was run over by a PistenBully snowplow, which weighs at least 7 tons, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam told a news conference shortly after the accident on New Year's Day.

The star had gone to speak to a family member when the snowplow started to roll toward him, Balaam said, adding that Renner was run over when he attempted to get into the driver's seat to stop it.

Neighbors helped as he waited 40 minutes for first responders to arrive on the scene due to weather conditions, Balaam said.

He's extremely lucky to be alive. Hopefully he has a full recovery.
He will never be 100% after breaking 30 bones. Hopefully, though he can get mostly back. Like the above...he is lucky to be alive.

Jeremy Renner was trying to stop snowplow from hitting nephew when he was crushed, officials say

A new report from local officials details what happened the day actor Jeremy Renner was hurt in a snowplow accident.

NBC News obtained the Jan. 1 incident report from Washoe County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 25.

The report shows Renner towed his nephew’s truck out of the snow at his Reno, Nevada, property on a private road.

The plow, called a Pistenbully, started sliding down a hill so Renner got out but without putting the emergency brake on, the report says. The plow — which runs on a track — was then sliding toward his nephew, who was in his truck.

The report says Renner tried to step up on the track to divert the plow or stop it.

“Renner was pulled under the Pistenbully, and the track rolled over him,” the report says. “Renner suffered injuries to his torso, extremities, face and head.”

The report also says there were some mechanical issues with the truck, but it’s believed that the parking brake would’ve stopped the plow from moving forward.
