On Friday the Jazz and Suns play for the top spot in the West although the season has a long ways to go before being over. Both teams have ten games left to play.

With a win the Suns and Jazz would have identical records but the Suns own the tiebreaker.

Jazz are 45-17 but annihilated the Kings in their last game 154-105. They are 6-4 in their last ten games.

Suns are 44-18 and coming off a big win over the Clippers. They are 7-3 in their last ten games.

The game will be televised on Bally Sports Arizona Plus.

Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Arizona time.

Dario Saric is PROBABLE for Suns.

Jae Crowder is still QUESTIONABLE

Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell are OUT for Jazz.

Royce O'Neale is QUESTIONABLE

It would be a tremendous win. Suns would be first in the West and first in the league.
It’s an almost absurd thought (though truth be told, second best record for as long as we’ve held it is really just as absurd).

I'm hopeful but being first this late in the season almost seems like a fantasy.

I am still in favor of sitting Chris Paul. We would have a decent chance of winning without Paul, he has been putting in a lot of minutes and carrying the team lately, he is not a spring chicken, and this would just be a good opportunity for rest.

If we win, great. If we lose, I like the two seed better anyway.

Chris Paul knows his body better than anybody. If he says he can play, then play him. He's no spring chicken, true, but he's been in this situation several times, he knows what he has to do or not do to make sure he's fresh for the playoffs.

With the Clippers and Nuggets on their heels the Suns have to keep winning until they wrap up the second spot especially since both teams own the tiebreakers.

10 games left, both three back in the loss column. You worry more than I do.

No. That's not correct. We worry about different things. I am more concerned about injuries and having CP3 available for the playoffs than I am about the 2-4 seed.

I look at it as two games back because if they tie in the loss column, the Clippers and Nuggets would own the tiebreakers.

I'm generally an optimist by nature but I plan on worst case scenario that way if everything goes wrong, I'm prepared for every eventuality.

If Dario does indeed play, what's the over/under on whether Tank gets any minutes tonight?

I hope Frank continues to get minutes. IMO he has more of a positive impact on the floor than Dario lately.

Whenever the team releases a clip of Ayton in practice he's being defended by Mark Bryant. That is a little troubling to me. I trust Bryant as a coach but we really need legit NBA bigs to push Ayton in practice. I know there isn't anyone on the roster that fits that bill now but I hope its something JJ is thinking about and has a plan for this offseason.

The same concerns here. Also Mark Bryant was never an offensive or defensive juggernaut.

At least Crowder is moving around a bit and putting up shots.
