Jannik Sinner's 25th Straight Win Draws Attention After Cincinnati Open Quarterfinal originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Fresh off his first Wimbledon triumph, Jannik Sinner isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. The Italian star has his sights set on adding even more silverware this season, and at the Cincinnati Open, he’s making a strong case for why many see him as the best hard-court player in the game right now.

His latest performance? A ruthless straight-sets dismantling of Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals. One that not only booked his spot in the semis, but also extended an eye-popping winning streak that has the tennis world buzzing.

Sinner’s performance drew a lot of comments from fans, some criticizing Auger-Aliassime for not showing up while others awestruck by Sinner.

World #1 and defending champ Jannik Sinner easily beats Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-0, 6-2 to reach the semifinals in Cincinnati.

Bashing FAA, a fan said, “What an embarrassing performance from FAA. Shouldn’t have even bothered playing.”

Another fan added, “Light work.”

“Now we know what a beatdown looks like!” commented a fan

A fan praised Sinner saying, “Best in the business.”

After watching Sinner’s performance a fan said, “Jannik just keeps improving.”

Another posed a question no player seems to have the answer to at the moment saying, “When he plays like this how do you even beat him?”

A Closer Look at Jannik Sinner’s Dominance

World No. 1 and defending champ Jannik Sinner made light work of Felix Auger-Aliassime, cruising to a 6-0, 6-2 win in just 75 minutes to secure his place in the Cincinnati semifinals. It was his first-ever win over FAA, his 12th Masters 1000 semifinal, and it extended some remarkable streaks 11 straight wins overall, nine in a row in Cincinnati, and an incredible 25 consecutive victories on hard courts.

Only four players in history—Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Roger Federer—have put together longer hard-court streaks, putting Sinner in elite company.

Against FAA, the Italian allowed just nine points in the first set, briefly fell behind 2-0 in the second, then stormed back to win six straight games. Turning 24 on Saturday, Sinner hasn’t dropped a set all week and will next face either Holger Rune or surprise qualifier Terence Atmane as he looks to defend his title and keep his streak alive.
