It Was Nice To Meet Some of You At the Draft Party

[Jim O]

I had the opportunity to meet a few of you at the Draft Party. I met Section 11 and earthsci. I already had met CardAvenger.

I saw a few of you from a distance as well. I saw jstadvl, Nidan, and Brighteyes. Nidan was wearing his new Emmitt jersey. I couldn't get away to talk to everyone though.

Hopefully, many of you can make it out to the Fan Fest/Mini Camp practice on Saturday.

[SECTION 11]

It was cool. We had a blast there.
We ended up getting pretty loopy (the screwdrivers set the stage for a drunken afternoon).

I went home and sat by the pool...that was nice.

Sorry I missed you Jim. Dvl pointed you out but by the time I got headed that direction you were gone. That wasn't on purpose was it?

Yep...I did that on purpose. Section 11 told me to avoid you at all costs.

Seriously, I'll be at the fan fest this Saturday. It will be nice to see all of the new players practicing including Jeff Blake and Emmitt.

Same here, Jim. It was nice to meet all of you. I had a great time. I ended up getting pretty drunk. (imagine that)

Also, as promised, I went to one of AZ's finest "dancing" establishments after to drown my immediate sorrows in some of the fine women in the "dancing" industry. We were there for quite a while, when two big dudes came in and sat down next to us. It was dark in the place, so I couldn't make out who it was. Either way, he recognized us, because the next think I knew, my table was full of beer, compliments of one of my favorite Cardinals (yes, he was one of my favorites before he bought us a beer at the topless bar). We returned the favor by sending the club's best over to his table for a dance. He was very cool, and thanked and bs'ed with us for a while after. He didn't understand the Cardinals picks initially either, but had faith in Graves and Mac.

I stayed away from the board until today. I knew it was going to be chaos, and I needed time to think about what they were thinking in the draft.
