If true it's kind of interesting, basically it says analysts think Tesla will report profitability after close tomorrow(wed) in large part because of government credits for selling Zero Emission Vehicles(ZEV's). Apparently the government allows Tesla to sell their credits to other manufacturers who aren't selling enough ZEV's to hit their "quota". It's believed Tesla is getting as much as 35K for these credits, each.
Story says they could make as much as 250 Million this year off selling the credits.
As the story says profit is profit but one wonders if/when the government pulls the credits out from under them, will Tesla survive it?
I hope they do I love those cars especially the Model S, wish I could afford one.
