The Golden State Warriors could be shorthanded heading into the 2025-26 regular-season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers next week. After being ruled out for the final three games of the preseason, Moses Moody is now listed as doubtful for Golden State's contest against Luka Doncic and the Lakers.
On Thursday, Steve Kerr announced Moody is listed as doubtful for the regular-season opener with a calf injury.

Moody impressed early in the preseason, scoring a game-high 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field with five made 3-pointers as a starter against the Lakers. Moody continued his strong start to the preseason with a 10-point effort against the Portland Trail Blazers. Yet, his calf injury ruled him out for the final three preseason games.
With Moody doubtful for the regular-season opener and both De'Anthony Melton and Seth Curry unavailable to start the season, Kerr will have to get creative with Golden State's rotation early.
Kerr could call on a combination of Brandin Podziemski, Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield as potential options alongside Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and Al Horford.
The Warriors will meet the Lakers to start the season on Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Los Angeles.
