Before. I think the idea was Pence fills the job and they find another candidate for 2020 for the GOP. To be clear they said this is one of many theories out there, one of the other guests called it a tinfoil hat theory based on what we know about Trump and how sunk in the GOP seems to be. She said if you're going to believe wild theories I'm much more inclined to think he's got undisclosed health issues than that they're trying to find a way for him to step down.

The only reason I somewhat doubt that is as LVG said on my comment, Trump's ego. Pirro literally said Trump is almost a superhero when discussing his health after this story broke. I don't know that he'd leak such a story just as a diversion. I don't think he'd do it as a means to step down either but I think that one is more likely than just the diversion.

Personally I think they're going to have to drag him kicking and screaming out of office and I see no way no matter what comes out this week etc that enough GOP folks are going to flip in the Senate. I think they need 20 or 21 to flip and I don't think they can get even half of that, so many of these people are complicit themselves they'd rather back Trump.

I think even if both Sondland AND Volker flip this week and implicate Trump the bulk of the GOP will just stand behind him as he calls them names.

They keep bringing up Nixon and him being convinced by others he needed to step down, I just think we're in a whole different era now, I think far more of the GOP is involved with Trumps' wrongdoing now, they can't just turn on him they're involved themselves.

He has a health issue that was disclosed last year. His Calcium CT scan (which detects plaques) showed he has heart disease. But, that's not real unusual at his age. My guess is, he had some kind of heart episode due to the stress he is under.

I was just wondering, but personally agree with you and LVG (and everyone) that there's no way he steps down. I'm sure he receives medical advice like Mr. Burns.

I will say there’s a good chance he will resign, but your post reminded me of one of my favorite scenes.

If Hannity gets called on to testify you just know he’s gonna claim executive privilege.

LMAO. Douche Nunes' opening statement was basically a commercial for Fox News. He spent the entirety of the statement railing against the "fake MSM" and closed by stating the American people are going elsewhere to get their news.

Same - just a series of questions about did to know Biden blah, blah

    "These aren't trick questions"

No - they aren't relevant questions they aren't as profound as you think they are and they are before the time the person you were questioning

They also aren't factually proven - so quit presenting it as such

GOP counsel is trying to besmirch Vindman with the whole Ukraine offering him to be defense minister. He is angling so hard it's pathetic.

Right now, Nunes might well have the most punchable face in DC
