The 2025 NCAA transfer portal opened on March 24, followed by a firehose of college basketball player movement across the country.
Undergraduate players seeking immediate eligibility can put their names in the online database that allows them to be contacted by other schools about the possibility of transferring. The period lasts until April 22, 2025.
To follow the activity involving coach Brad Underwood and Illinois, an updated list of the comings and goings can be found below.
Outgoing transfers are listed with new program, if known.
The 6-foot-1 sophomore guard appeared in all 35 games, averaging 5.9 points and 1.6 rebounds in just under 15 minutes a game. He entered the portal on April 2.
The 6-foot-7 junior appeared in 32 games, starting 31, in his only season with the Illini. He averaged 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in just more than 23 minutes per game. White entered the portal on March 29 and will be headed to his fourth team in four seasons.
The 6-foot-9 freshman forward appeared in 30 games, starting eight in row until a broken wrist sidelined him for five games. The 2024 Illinois Mr. Basketball averaged 7.0 points and 6.7 rebounds to go with 33 blocks. He entered the transfer portal on March 28. He committed to Michigan on April 1.
The 6-foot-10 sophomore forward appeared in 21 games, averaging 1.2 points and 1.0 rebounds in just 5.2 minutes per game. He played his freshman season at Notre Dame. He entered the transfer portal on March 27.
