For those who are interested in potential options of players on the defensive line who could be available for AZ.

Fletcher Cox - Philly
-This is the big fish who the team would be willing to move off of but it would be complicated due to the contract.

Maliek Collins - Houston
-Productive player who is a FA on a team selling everything.

Taven Bryan - Jacksonville
-Production hasn't really been there but was a high round pick for a reason. Wouldn't cost much and you would be banking on a change of scenery and culture paying off.

That said, I don't know how many guys are available who are better than street FA Geno Atkins who has a history with Vance. It will be interesting to see if Keim makes some kind of move.

I'll take another Houston player, looking to get out of purgatory and show out in the promised land.

Maybe we can get some more out of Josh Mauro as well (who I think is still on the practice squad after being signed there a week or so ago).

Fatukasi from the jets would be a great pickup.

He's FA after this year. He costs barely anything for the rest of this year. He's a great run stuffer which is where we struggle and I hear he's a great guy in the locker room.

Jet's need a full rebuild and can't afford to pay him and Williams soon and they have Sheldon Rankins playing great at the moment so can spare him.

He's not going to get a tonne of interior pressure but he would possible free up Philips to rush more.

Cardinals need to make a move and shove all the chips to the center of the table.

This is their window of opportunity.

With what money though? Anyone we could afford would be similar to what we have already.

Everyone talks about the ability to create salary space in the NFL.

We could take up a collection.

This would make lots of sense. He's due less than $1m the rest of the year. Played many years in a 3-4. Could slot right in to that DE role of Watts. 82 pass rush grade this year.

I know he's normally played OLB/DE but he looks bigger to me recently. Heck even if he doesn't replace Watt I'd still sign him for depth and experience.

Love this. I agree we are as close to a super bowl run as you can be. If we win tonight we could arguably go 15-2 maybe 16-1. You have been dealt pocket Aces and an Ace has hit the flop. Yes someone could draw out on us. But im
Pushing all in

I must say I don't think we trade for anyone though. Philips needs to step up, they paid him to do what Watt was doing and Peters, Fotu, Allen, Dogbe etc are enough to carry the load.

Nobody can replace what Watt was doing. He was top 3 iDL in the league.

Nah, he's a pass rush specialist, and a pass rush specialist who can't get enough PT on a team in need of pass rush specialists. Pass.

I really like Akeim Hicks but I don't believe they are tossing away one of their defensive leaders in a season people are coaching for their jobs.

Coaches may not want it, but front office would be smart to get what they can for players who won’t be there for the next coaching staff.

Isn’t that a GM decision? Would think at this point he’s leaning one way or the other regarding the coach
