First it seems to me that the offensive play book did away with the Speed Option and nearly any play that gets our QB around the end to run at the perimeter.
The offensive line did a good job of pass blocking but a terrible job of run blocking.

The defense was terrible. BYU left offensive tackle kicked the heck out of who ever was opposite him so the could get 5-10 yards almost at will.
We left the Flat open with the corner backs playing up to 15 yards deep so an 6 yard pass completion generated 10-30 yards.
I could see no adjustments to plug up these two weaknesses.

Bingo. Not playing to offensive strengths and flat out small compared to the big boys from BYU
