Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark found herself at the center of a major controversy on Tuesday, even though she didn't have anything directly to do with it.

Minnesota Lynx superstar forward Napheesa Collier alleged during her exit interview that WNBA commissioner made a dismissive comment about Clark's impact on the league as it pertains to her endorsement deals.

Collier allegedly asked Engelbert in the offseason about why stars like Clark, Chicago Sky superstar forward Angel Reese and Dallas Wings superstar guard Paige Bueckers (soon to be drafted) weren't making more on their rookie deals in response to the revenue their star power brought the league.

"Her response was, 'Caitlin should be grateful she makes $16 million off the court because, without the platform that the WNBA gives her, she wouldn't make anything,'" Collier said Engelbert allegedly told her, per Zone Coverage reporter Andrew Dukowitz. Yikes doesn't even cut it.

Has Clark responded to the out-of-place and supremely silly alleged statement from Engelbert?

Per the Fever, she had no comment on the matter.

Welp, it's nice to see Clark take the high road, at least?

Has Engelbert responded to Collier's allegations?
