Now more than ever, NFL front offices are gauging draft prospects through athletic profiling. Players are assessed on physical traits like height, weight, arm length and hand size as well as their testing from the league's scouting combine.
To put a simpler number on all of that information, Kent Lee Platte developed the concept of the Relative Athletic Score (RAS). RAS serves as a universal metric that combines each player's attributes to represent their overall athleticism.
So, how athletic is the Carolina Panthers' 2025 draft class?
Here are the scores for each of the team's selections . . .
RAS comparisons: Kenny Golladay (9.25), Allen Lazard (8.88), Hakeem Butler (9.55), Walter Young (9.39), Cody Hollister (9.30)
