This is just one example and I am sure you can find this in many other games. Cardinals have had a rocky start to the 1st half vs SEA at home. Kyler threw 2 INTs in AZ territory back to back and defense has struggled to keep SEA at out of the endzone.
2nd Quarter Situation:
SEA 17
AZ 10
As you can see, the defense had SEA offense on the ropes twice. 2nd and 20 and then 3rd and 10. But two huge pass plays ensued and after another solid run, Charbonnet went the distance.
Now imagine the 2025 defense having SEA 2nd and 20 on their 10 yard line. I think we a are getting a punt alot more often. Time is left on the clock and instead of it being an almost insurmountable 24-10 at half, our offense has time to kick a FG making it 17-13. This game is 100% winnable.
One horrible defensive possession basically closed the door.
I actually went to this game. The air went out of the stadium for good after SEA scored.
